Redman'' Posted August 20, 2009 Share Posted August 20, 2009 my gta sa dont want to start under vista sp1 32bit. ive got vers 1.0 of gta sa. when i start the original gtasa.exe he asks for the cd the sandclock pop ups and nothing happen. same prob with the cracked exe. nothing happen. ive installed dirext 9c, too. cause he aksed for a dll. If you have any image mounting softwares (like Alcohol 120%, Daemon Tools, etc.), uninstall them because they can cause conflicts. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But if you're facing issues with older games like SA, it's worth a shot. Also, the mouse not working issue - one of the most common Vista related issues, can be solved by running the game in Windows 98 compatibility mode. Redman'' Posted August 22, 2009 Author Share Posted August 22, 2009 before it was no problem to play sa on vista...no compatibility mode nothing. i had to format my pc and now i cant start sa. i have no idea what is wrong. its strange, too that i can start the ped viewer so i think its no problem to start the engine. and yes, i reinstalled it twice. is there any patch ? Girish Posted August 22, 2009 Share Posted August 22, 2009 Nope, no patch. Try this: 1) Uninstall SA. 2) Delete the installation folder if it still exists. (e.g. C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas). 3) Delete the Virtual Store copy of the installation folder too. The Appdata folder might be hidden. (e.g. C:\Users\???\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas). 4) Delete the gta_sa.set file from your user files folder. 5) Reboot. 6) Reinstall SA.
