Boooster
I don't know why exactly I was reminded of this, but something sparked my memory of the good old days of playing GTA for hours on end just messing around. I was extremely curious to see if anyone else has ever killed all of the police in a level? I did it by accident one time, and played the rest of the stage without ever seeing another police (I would still get wanted "stars" but police would never show up)... I'm not sure if this is because I killed them all or if they became afraid of me, but they sure didn't bother me . I'll explain more or less what I did back then: I think I was 10 or so at the time and endlessly amused by the effects of blowing up cars, and there was a certain area in Libery City (the first available city, can't remember which one it was) where you could drive around in a 6 lane road area, constantly driving a perimeter without ever encountering roadblocks. I don't remember exactly where (I searched for an online interactive map, but couldn't find one), but for some reason broker or brocklyn is ringing a bell. Anyway, you drove around in a rectangle shape (i.e. start at the bottom right, drove up 4 blocks, left 20 blocks, south 4 blocks, right 20 blocks, etc.), and I remember that the bottom right spot had a bridge - you always made a left before the bridge, and right above it was a hospital (I remember because I would die during my attempts. Anyway, here is what I would do: I would take either a coach bus or a school bus, get 4 stars and just drive around in circles endlessly. Every 10-15 seconds or so a cop car would speed up to me, crash into the back of my bus, and explode (it would seemingly get stuck, I would get the 10 point collision bonus like 20 times in 2 seconds, and he would blow up). they would keep coming and coming, and it barely seemed to dent my vehicle. If they would crash into the side of the bus though, I would always blow up with them (chain reaction). I remember doing this for like 45 minutes or something like that, until they stopped coming (I must have blown up 100s of cop cars). I'm curious, has anyone else ever killed all the cops in a level, either through this method or just blowing up cars one by one? It seems kiling one by one would take hours (since those damn cops were so friggin accurate too), but I am proud to say I did this without cheats (I died 4 times or so as I recall). It couldn't have been just me that did this - can anyone confirm that they did something similar? Im very curious... Edit: How about that! I just found a map online and although I remembered the area very well, I had the wrong name. The area is at the top left of the map and takes place almost entirely in Hackenslash... the hospital i would respawn in was in Eastwood (border with hackenslash). 100 views and no replies yet either - people must either not have done this, think I am BSing or don't think it's worth trying out . Weeellll, any people that still play GTA I suggest trying it out - its very fun to start with this and then play the missions with no cops to harass you Edited August 22, 2009 by Boooster
ciganyirto
Yup, IT IS POSSIBLE to kill all the policemen in the city. Just make sure you don't need a police car for a mission (e.g. pass those missions which require a police car). Here is how to do it: get in conflict wit' the police (I suggest armor and Flamethrower), and start killing them, AND blowing up their cars. Then try to leave the place as soon as possible, before the cars stop to burn. This way, the burning wrecks will not disappear, but stay where they were blown up. And since the program treats those wrecks as "Police cars", it will not spawn more police. (NOTE: If you let the wrecks stop burning, they WILL disappear) Killing all the cops in a level is time-consuming, but after that, you're free of the police WITHOUT cheating!
