Lethal Nizzle
I have no idea what's happening to me. My day's been normal up until now. I've sat down and had dinner (which was chicken korma if you want to know) and came away from it with a bad stomach. Now as I went upstairs, I felt I was going to throw up. I ran to the toilet and nothing happened, so I jumped into bed. Then I started to itch and I went into the bathroom to see that spots were appearing on my back. The sickness came back and I'm drinking small sips of water to see if that helps. Now I'm sat upstairs with a wheeze, my back is itching and spots are popping up and down my arms. Does anyone know what's happening to me? It doesn't look too good.
Shaunr
sounds like hives. I don't know what else to tell you but if you have hives for 6 weeks you will have them for the rest of your life and you will constantly have to take medication for it. Rhoda
Sounds more like a severe allergic reaction to something in the curry to me mate, I broke out in spots and rashes after certain spices myself, now I tend to avoid the more mentally hot foods. Have you had that particular dish before?
SHXC
Go to your doctor's. GTAForums is hardly the best place to come for health advice..

Punk-in-Drublic
I personally wouldn't take any medical advice off someone from GTAForums, especially Gen chat. If I were you, I'd head to the doctors

Have you had that particular dish before? Yeah Craig, I have korma all the time. However it might've been a different sauce. One of the main causes of "hives" is allergy to something in food, so I'm guessing something was in that sauce. Now I'm allergic to nuts; could there have been some sort of nut in that sauce? shaboobala
Are you on any painkillers? In any case, it sounds like an allergic reaction. Some antihistamines might help. But this probably isn't the best place to ask for medical advice.
anus
I think some people use peanut sauce in it, that could be the cause since you're allergic to nuts.

Rebel
Korma isn't spicy at all so yeah..people who think it is obviously can't handle spicy food. Its just really really sweet. Shame about you getting a reaction though, you can never be to sure about the sauces from take away places if you're allergic to nuts. Best is chicken tikka masala though. I dislike chicken tikka, my tastebuds start beef whenever i eat it so i stay away from it and keep peace on the streets. Chinease food > Indian food anyways. Lethal Nizzle
Good news guys. The rash has cleared up and I'm now on steroid tablets for the next few days. Turns out there was peanuts in the sauce. My Epi-pen took out most of the blow, and I recovered later in the hospital. I'm feeling all good now. Lethal Nizzle
Aha, I blame my mum to be honest. We're not on the best of terms, and she cooked the korma.
Rhoda
Your mum put nuts in your Korma? Never thought I'd say that sentence. Glad you're well anyway mate, rest well and all that jazz. Just as a side-note, it may be worth enquiring every time now. I'm not trying to insult your intelligence by suggesting you don't already do it, but usually takeaways and restaurants have nutrition information on hand, or least a list of what they put in their foods. Every time you order, it's best to ask. A friend of mine has a nut allergy and he has to ask every time we go out what has nuts in or is made using any kind of nut oils. anus
All this time I thought the food was actually from a restaurant. How come your mom doesn't know you're allergic to peanuts ? Or does she know?
