Fnorg
Gomorra. My feeble mind couldn't handle the five different storylines, though.
major underscore
One good series of foreign films is the Danish Pusher trilogy. Those films center around the drugs trade in Denmark. The films didn't have a Hollywood size budget, and it shows, but they are pretty good.
Tubbs
Election's a good Triad movie, haven't seen the sequel yet though. All the names and minor characters get confusing, so I'd suggest paying a lot of attention at the beginning.
Seachmall
The General, about Martin Cahill (an Irish gangster).

My only question, where were the guns? Loved the ending though. f*cking brutal.
John The Grudge
I saw Election 2 and it's not as good as volume 1 but it's still worth checking out. Pretty much anything by Johnny To is going to be good. It's not really an organised crime film but Johnny To's PTU is a cop film and maybe my favourite film of his so check that out. Here's a few that you may like: Friend - A Korean film about a group of friends, some of whom get embroiled in the world of organised crime and end up in opposing factions. Protege - A chinese film starring Andy Lau, who plays a middle aged gangster with declining health. He's grooming his protege Nick (Daniel Wu) to be his replacement. Nick has a dillemma though, he's a cop. Exiled - This chinese film is about a former ganger played by Nick Cheung, whose trying to turn over a new leaf. His former boss has other ideas though. He sends two aging hit men (one of them is played by Anthony Wong by the way) to take him out. When they get there they find two other hit men intent on protecting him. The five men, in a stand off, decide to have dinner and drink. They end up bonding and eventually plan a gold heist. Now all five men are targets though. Lok beating Big D with a f*cking rock came out of nowhere, I didn't expect it from him, it reminded me of the Godfather.
Don Garcia
it reminded me of the Godfather. Exactly what I said when I saw 'em fishing. It was when Lok threw the shovel at Big D's wife that I laughed. And then of course the savage strangling. That whole ending left me wide-eyed. Mister Pink
Yeah, The General is a good film. There's one in black and white and a version in colour. As Seachmall said it's based on Martin Cahill aka 'The General.' Here's a real life picture of him outside the Dublin Criminal Court. Crazy f*cker. What a charachter. Cilogy
Company - Indian crime film. Really good if you understand Hindi or if you're willing to read subtitles. Internal Affairs - Hong Kong crime drama on which the Hollywood film The Departed is based. Also good if you either understand Cantonese or read subtitles. Don Garcia
I saw Election 2 and it's not as good as volume 1 but it's still worth checking out. I watched Election 2, two days ago. It was better than the first! Great, great stuff, I loved it. Jimmy vs. Lok was awesome to see. Lok really turned into a f*cking madman.

Scarface187
Ichi The Killer is f*cking great. There are a few scenes that are hard to watch and a couple ridiculous uses of CGI but other than that it is a great movie.
