bigmike72
There are no "good guys" here yes this generation it is MS that are restricting GTA but last generation it was Sony messing about with timed exclusivity and keeping GTA content of other formats. I personally hate it, I have always been a PC gamer and I always will be a PC gamer. This generation I tried out a console since I have never owned one. I didn't like it one bit, not knocking the console I just didn't like it. I am not saying the PC is better I am just saying FOR ME I prefer to play games on the PC. However being a PC gamer I have to resign myself to the fact there are Rockstar games I won't be able to play. I wouldn't mind playing "Agent" but no I HAVE to buy a PS3 to play that, I wouldn't mind playing the GTA 4 DLC but no I have to buy an Xbox 360. Don't get me wrong I love Rockstar and I love their games but they are seriously starting to take the piss big time now. Right to keep this on-topic I understand why GTA PS3'ers are looking for a ray of hope. I was no different when I was waiting for GTA 4 to come to the PC. However I think in this case, this story is as close to false hope as you can get. But I guess we should at least get confirmation tomorrow one way or the other but don't get your hopes up too much. if R* was smart they would earn a good profit if they released the DLC and all there games on all 3 PC,PS3,and
Nightwing 0613
The GTA IV DLC's are Xbox Exclusive and will NOT be coming out for the PS3. Why can't these PS3 users understand this. You guys have had your share of exclusive R* games. Including both GTA Stories games & the upcoming Agent. Did we get the Stories games & are we getting Agent? No. Because those are Playstation exclusive. I believe R* made Agent exclusive for Playstaion for the simple fact that Microsoft got the GTA IV DLC's for them only. qazaqwe
how is rockstar not smart, they have given birth to the most fierce battle of the sony/ms console war, and they have people giving them millions to get ahead of eachother, believe me, they are machiavellian

OysterBarron
lol someone thinks CTW was on PSP! this kinda topic always happens when we get pics like this, the last one there was a bus init with rockstar written on it and people started jumping to conclusions. CTW for ps3 lolz just cuz there in the same picture doesnt mean it could happen, its like saying the new PS3 is going to come with a console stand and screen like the one in the picture. http://www.rockstargames.com/chinatownwars/ ahh cheers guys, havent been as anal on these forums as usall been out of the loop for a bit, lol so sony were like we have a new PSP coming out and they know the only way to sell it is to bring out a GTA for it, wont it be missing half the innovation that the DS version had without the touch screen! Well in that case it could be possible that we MAY see a DLC episode for GTAIV then i would love it as i dont have access to a DS and my PSP wont charge anymore. would be nice to see what they did with the story. as for all the people saying that the DLC is 360 exclusive thats true, but only the first 2 pieces of DLC L&D and Ballard of gay faggio, who knows what else Rockstar have planned, in actual fact im pretty sure that there would be nothing stopping rockstar packaging the DLC together and seeling it as a different name e.g GTAIV Liberty City storys on both consoles. Insom
BOGT isn't coming to PS3. TLAD hasn't even come yet and the 6 month rumors were false as expected. 50 million is a lot of money. Rockstar and Microsoft have been touting this as 360 exclusive for a long time and that's not gonna change. You had a good chance to get 360s for the full experience because this content was announced before the original GTA IV was not even close to being finished. beavis
I don't know if anyone has said this before, and excuse me for going off topic, but the PS3 in that picture could have been there to provide Remote Play capabilities that the PS3 and PSP provide. Just a thought.
XZGamer71
I don't mind if CTW wouldn't be on PS3. We were lucky to get it on PSP and that's enough for me. (Even though i don't have a PS3)
CharmingCharlie
Well it looks like the rumour has been busted :- Yesterday we excitedly ran with a rumour that Lost and Damned was heading to the PS3 based off the simple fact that screens showing The Lost and Damned were running in a fenced off section of Gamescom with lots of PS3 nearby. Of course, when you’ve got PS3 Community Moderator Yaster saying things like “they were certainly showing some PS3 love – Grand Theft Auto: The Lost and the Damned was available to play in a special 18+ area” on the EU forums (which was swiftly removed) things click into place faster than we can hit that “publish” button. You can see where we’d get the idea from, right? The cold, hard reality is that Lost and Damned isn’t coming to the PS3. The images on the screens were simply advertising the disk-based expansions for the Xbox 360 version and just happened to be on a reel next to the PS3 demo units. Rest assured that if Rockstar were to ever announce downloadable chapters for the PS3 version of Grand Theft Auto IV they’d make a much bigger deal of it than just shoving it into a cage at Gamescom were people can blab about it on forums. At least, that’s what we’d do. http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2009/08/21/los...its-not-coming/
DeLMrcs
So basically 5 pages of fighting back and forth for nothing then? Its like I said, MS would rather release it on the PC rather than to their main competitor.

GuruAskew
You guys are hilarious. For the past six months I've never been more than a few hours away from being able to play "The Lost and Damned" and you PS3 guys have been clinging to hilariously-flimsy rumors and speculation when in reality you're no closer today than you were 3 years ago when the exclusive DLC was first announced. If you want to play this game you should buy a 360. That's all there is to it. It's not fanboyism or Sony bashing, it's just the truth, and if you're buying video games that cost $60 each and you're still hanging in there after all these months (or even years, depending on how you look at it) you can afford to buy a 360. Even if you put like pennies away a day between today and the day the exclusive DLC deal was announced you'd have a pretty big chunk of change saved up by now. People whine about console exclusives but no console is ever going to have every game. That's the reality of the situation and if you want to play "The Lost and Damned" and "The Ballad of Gay Tony" then the PS3 just isn't an option. If GTA is a significant factor in your gaming then Sony has failed you this generation. Accept it and move on.
