Im going with the Marsahll Mathers simply because of Criminal and The Way I am. I listen to these everyday and I never get sick of them

In my mind Eminem is the type of guy who has a few brilliant tracks amongst a bunch of sh*tty one's. Beautiful is a prime example of this from his new album.

I actually like a few other songs from his new album Insane and hello are quite good

It's a difficult choice between the Marshall Mathers and Slim Shady LPs, but I'm going to go with SSLP. It had some great tracks such as Rock Bottom, Bad Meets Evil and If I Had, and while MMLP also had some great tracks, I feel SSLP was just ever-so-slightly better. Eminem's later stuff is very hit or miss with me, his later albums seem to be a few decent tracks surrounded by mediocrity and filler.

I grew up listening to this Also it's one of the few albums that have only awesome/very good tracks. For me it's number one.

Previous Eminem's albums are also quite good.

Relapse is... OK. Just OK, nothing special.

Encore is for sure the worst Eminem's album. I don't like it at all.

For me it's got to be The Marshall Mathers LP. Simply for the fact Stan and Kim are amazingly deep songs. But it's very close between SSLP and MMLP. Then it's either Relapse or Eminem Show and then last, Encore.

 

Although I think Encore is extremely underrated. It has some of his best thought provoking tracks on their. The only problem is that there is a lot of mainstream stuff on there too. I mean just listen to Mockingbird, Toy Soldiers, Mosh, and When I'm Gone.

 

Oh, and you forgot Infinite on that list nutboy.

The Eminem Show & Relapse are tied because I couldn't decide. Both are actually really great albums, and are both in third place for me. But that's just me...

Infinite definitely deserves to be on there. Biterphobia ( not sure if it was on Infinite or the promo tape for it ) was probably his best track ever. He was never on that pure rhyming sh*t ever again. Went to crazy ass scary sh*t, to weak ass gangsta sh*t. Go back to the illness!

 

 

 

Out of the other choices though it's got to be either SSLP or MMLP.

Marshall Mathers LP is probably my favorite, with Slim Shady LP following in second and then The Eminem Show after that. The rest just suck in my opinion. I don't like anything off of Encore and Relapse. Nowadays when it comes to rap I stick with stuff like MF Doom, Madvillian, Atmosphere, Nas, Jurassic 5, etc.

I think The Marshall Mathers LP was basically him telling us the troubles of his life & his personal feelings. The Eminem Show was him reflecting on his life & looking for a change. Encore was just...I don't even know.

The MMLP was just the answer to the SSLP because "Slim Shady" is supposed to be his "alter-ego", so he wanted something that was about him, and his life, not just about crazy ass songs about serial killing and what not.

 

The Eminem Show was really him lashing out at the media for then making so much of a show out of his life ( go figure ) and was pretty much a long commentary on the way media is in the country now, and how he's gotten in so much trouble for just making music, blah blah

 

I didn't bother listening to Relapse. I think that's pretty self-evident, he's saying he's relapsed back into Slim Shady.

Relapse. its the only eminem album i own (i've heard almost all his other stuff though) i got it for 10 bucks used which was a great deal. i even got "My Darling" for free off of eminems site cause i bought the normal edition which does not have that song amongst others.

Purely because of the situation he was in at the time, Infinite. You could tell the outcome of his life literally depended on his ability to rap and to come off as something unique on that album.

 

But once he hit mainstream; MMLP. It's top in every single way and Relapse is the closest he's gotten to recreating it (Although definitely not the same. We will never get something to that standard again)

 

I do have a massive soft spot for The Eminem Show because it's the first EMinem album I bought in like 2002 and played the sh*t out of (Still do today)

I thik the idea behind Encore was 'There's nothing going on in my life worth rapping about but I need money for my secret drug addiction, so i'll write some random bars stick it together and you'll still buy it' Like Toy Soldiers <3
