gtasearcher
Alright, of course I know how to create a .gif avatar from YouTube videos [check my current avatar] but it seems YouTube's taken down youtubedownload.altervista.org and vixy.net, and my YouTube downloader doesn't work for me anymore Can anyone make a 64x64 with a black border avatar from this vid [00:17 - 00:33]? Thanks in advance.
Furnace
Try KeepVid.com, it lets you download the video in .flv or .mp4. I would make it, but the video is not available in the UK because of copyright.
M|chael
Another site here. Theres lots. Once you have the flv it shouldnt be hard to convert it into whatever you work with. However, I know theres a lot of freeware programmes that convert flv's to avi's (If you want to try my method as an alternative) but only if you cant find a way to convert to the file format that your used to. And Its the same story for me as with Furnace, I would if I could! but copyright restrictions forbid me to view that video. (Anyone know a way around that?) M|chael
How did you go about that CCPD? Did you just directly download the video, without watching it? and then chop it up? Seems logical enough, the only problem Id encounter is that my video sequencing packages (the compact cheapy ones -virtualdub) dont come with realtime timeline markers to easily crop the video into the bands that he requested. Did you just guess? or did you find a switch to turn the timeline from frames into realtime? Or... did you just find a way around the copyright restriction? When I try to go about that, Ie, maybe changing my youtube country, it still locates and tracks my IP back to the UK so im stuck with it. Is there another way? gtasearcher
@M|chael: I LOVE YOU!!! Thanks a lot for youdll.com, it's awesome! Although I'm facing a lil' problem. You know, I downloaded as .mp4, and then opened up my Sony Vegas 9.0 so I can crop it a bit and add some effects [maybe]. Problem is, the vid doesn't import very well and the video looks f*cked up. All I can see is colors with no models what so ever. It opens up fine in VLC Player thought @CCPD: Thanks a lot! Yeah, sometimes things screw up when your trying to import a shady fileformat into a piece of software designed to take high quality clips, Although it shouldnt mess up that much. However, from googling and such, it seems that you need a plugin to get vegas to recognise .mp4's, -Even then, from searching ive found people are still having problems, with possible solutions such as 'changing the file extension to .mov and allowing Quicktime to decode it for you in Vegas'. Quite a bit of a problem it seems. However,.... Vixy is back online (sorry i cant link there, for some reason gtaf wont let me insert a hyperlink right now?), so anyways you should be able to make your graphic now under normal circumstances. (or you could just take CCPD's)
