yoječ
After playing VC for all these years since it came out I'm getting a bit bored of the soundtrack. I want to put some custom MP3 into game, but... most track just don't preserve VC feel and don't suit it at all. What songs would you suggest to put in VC's MP3 Player? (preferably from the 80s) So far I've got only Harold Faltermeyer - Axel F and Billy Idol - Rebel Yell.
ScratchCard
Push It To The Limit (Scarface) - Paul Engemann Push it to the limitWalk along the razor's edge but don't look down, just keep your head and you'll be finished Open up the limit past the point of no return You've reached the top but still you gotta learn how to keep it Hit the wheel and double the stakes throttle wide open like a bat out of hell and you crash the gates (crash the gates) Going for the back of beyond Nothing gonna stop you there's nothing that strong So close now you're nearly at the brink so, push it (Ooo yeah) Welcome to the limit (The limit) Take it maybe one step more The power game's still playing so you better win it Push it to the limit (The limit) With no one left to stand in your way you might get careless, but you'll never be safe while you still feel it Welcome to the limit (The limit) Standing on the razor's edge don't look down just keep your head and you'll be finished Welcome to the limit (The limit) (The limit) (The limit) (The limit) Push it to the limit (The limit) (The limit) (The limit) (The limit) (The limit) (The limit) (The limit) (The limit) Push it to the limit (The limit) (The limit) (The limit) (The limit) Makes sense, this song is from the movie Scarface, a movie where R* got alot of inspiration for VC from. Heihachi_73
Metallica - Master of Puppets or Ride the Lightning albums, pick just about any song and it will fit somewhere into VROCK along the lines of Slayer and Megadeth already in there (back in 1986 Pantera were a practically unheard of hair metal band, although they still didn't sound too bad even with the screaming Terry Glaze vocals). Tyla
major underscore - That's a great list "Fire Woman" by The Cult would be perfect in Vice City Some songs I can add, Asia - Heat of the Moment Billy Idol - Eyes Without a Face Bon Jovi - You Give Love a Bad Name Damned - In Dulce Decorum David Lee Roth - Goin' Crazy Def Leppard - Photograph Def Leppard - Rock of Ages Dire Straits - Money for Nothing Dokken - Into the Fire Fleetwood Mac - Everywhere Genesis - Abacab Glenn Frey - The Heat is On Godley & Creme - Cry (I know this was in IV, but with the whole Miami Vice thing, I think it would fit) Golden Earring - Twilight Zone Hall & Oates - I can't go for that Jefferson Starship (Not sure if they were called this or just "Starship when this was released) - Sara Joe Satriani - Surfing with the Alien Journey - Suzanne Motley Crue - Kickstart my Heart Pet Shop Boys - West End Girls Prince - 1999 Rick Springfield - Jessie's Girl Robert Palmer - Addicted to Love Simple Minds - Don't You forget about Me Smokey Robinson - Being With You Steve Miller Band - Abracadabra Tears For Fears - Everybody Wants to Rule the World Tesla - Modern Day Cowboy The Clash - Rock the Casbah The Cure - All Cats are Grey The Smiths - How Soon is Now? The Waterboys - The Whole of the Moon Van Halen - Jump Van Halen - Panama WASP - Wild Child Whitesnake - Bad Boys Wire Train - I'll Do You ZZ Top - Legs Pretty much a mix of 80's Pop, New Wave and Rock. Not sure why everyone's recommending songs from the Scarface soundtrack, though. I think there's a lot more better 80's songs out there.
Sanjeem
Good point Tyla, But Scareface is related in some ways to Vice City, and the songs on the movie were absaloutly amazing to be honest.

radioman
If you want to get an idea for some 80's songs, search the I-Tunes store's "I-Tunes Essentials" section-it allows you to browse the top songs by year, so you can go through each year-from 1980 to 1989 and pick out the songs you like best. For example, you can select 1984(VCS's setting), or 1986(the year of VC's setting), or maybe 1982, or 1985, etc. and get a list of the top songs from the given year you choose.
