Disclaimer:No I didn't search, but I've been around a while and havn't seen this brought up, so if it has been, it's been a while.

 

How the f*ck do these cops know everything? Want an example I'm sure we can all relate to?

 

Anyone who has played this game for a while has shot a pigeon or two... Everytime you shoot, you get a star. This is annoying as hell.

 

Don't waste time with the pigeons? Okay...

 

How about fighting? Why do they come and arrest you for fighting? So then you run... Maybe a cop car get's lucky (for a second) and rams you. At which time you shoot him in the face for bothering you. BOOM 3 stars. Wtf??? Dudes dead, how did he call it in?

 

Oh you were on the street and somebody witnessed and called it in. Fine.

 

But the same is true regardless of what time it is, where you do it, how you do it, and who's around. You can't do anything illegal without the cops instantly knowing. It's pretty freakin annoying, I think.

 

If technology isn't that good yet, then my bad. But it seem's to me something that should be easy to do, if they can have as realistic physics as they do.

 

Here's hoping the cops in the next GTA aren't pyschic.

Because if you haven't noticed, cops have eyes, and they patrol the streets and see these illegal activities going on.

It's best to use the guns from the Annihilator to hunt down the Flying Rats, that way they won't go after you even though use the guns of the Annihilator. But yes I agree that it does get annoying getting a wanted level for using a firearm. I wish the game stuck with the good old hidden packages.

 

For fighting, I've tried to lure some guy into an alley and fight him there and I was able to get up to four bodies but I eventually got a wanted level for punching the car to force the Taxi driver out. Cop must have spawned or something. I'll still test this out though.

A good way to avoid police attention when hunting pigeons is using a sniper rifle and get them from a safe distance. Look around for cops first naturally. You'll still get trouble a couple of times, but I got a lot less then when I was using the deagle.

What I hate a most about the cops is that they seem to trained to use that shotgun with surgical precision and that it has a lot more range then when I'm using it. I lost a lot of health many times by getting hit with one of those from a fair distance, but when I use it I barely hit anything that's more then six feet away.

I've shot dozens of pigeons and not got a wanted level. It depends if there is a cop nearby or not. If a cop is passing an alleyway entrance and he hears a gunshot somewhere down that alley, you think he'll just carry on wandering down the street stuffing his face with donuts? Or go investigate?

 

The game seems right on the nail in this. You gotta be careful. Check for cops before you go shooting stuff.

You can seem to run over ALOT of people..I ran over about 15 people without getting a wanted level.

 

The only way I can start a fight is in the place Roman buys for you..there's always usually someone standing outside the doors..even if there's not it's easy to walk into them until they fall in the door..I got about 7 or 8 bodies that way without the cops knowing.

but overall you can shoot alot of people without the cops even knowing it.. when there are not very much people around and u shoot 3-5.. u sometimes will be able to walk away without trouble.

The only way I know to wreck havoc without getting the police on your tail, is to crash up your car until it catches fire and park it next to whatever you want to blow up.

Using Packies Bombs should at least get you off scott free because you remote detonate them from your cellphone.

 

Another thing that sometimes bothers me is your priority with the cops. They can be in a shootout with guns blazing while they take cover behind a car. If you then hit a ped nearby they'll ignore the shootout and start chasing you instead.

Yeah peds call the cops when they see you/other people fight etc, and when you are being chased by some people in freeroam and hop on the roof of a car or something, then call 911, theres a big chance they flee then.

 

And yep, when theres a cop nearby while you used a firearm he just responds to it, it's not just because you shot a pigeon; shoot in the air and he'll also come running up to you.

Game probably just checks if there's a cop in a %x radius when you fire a weapon.

When it was my first time playing, a car ran me over, it crashed and caused a pile up. One car exploded, I caught on fire and I got a star. And I hadn't even goten 3 minutes into the game.

 

Why the hell do you get a star if you're on fire?

Ok let me try again...

 

Say you kill somebody, a ped calls the cops as we know they do. But before the cops get there, you take off, get a few streets over, hiding in an alley then all of a sudden the cop that was passing on the street hits his brakes and the two of them jump out and start shooting you.

 

In real life...

 

 

You kill somebody, a ped calls the cops, you take off before they get there and see you, you get away, at least for a little while. (until CSI gets there lol)

 

The point is, regardless if the cops see you or not, they know YOU are the one that did it.

 

You can snipe somebody from 4 blocks away, but the cops come straight to you.

 

And I dunno, I must be the unluckiest SOB ever to play this game because I never get away with killing, shooting or fighting. Cops are always right there.

 

There can be a big group of people, I walk amongst them all casual, shank somebody, dissapear through the alley, hook a left and cut across the street down another alley, come to the street and BLAM a shotgun to the face.
