Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be a port of Infinity Ward's blockbuster hit Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, originally released in 2007 on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. The Wii version of that game is planned to arrive on November 10 of this year, the same day that Modern Warfare 2 ships to retail." Activision even confirms it! FullMetal
Call of Duty have numerous threads and also a specific Modern Warfare topic. On top of that, how is that blasphemy? Focussing on console FPS gameplay has been the biggest BLASPHEMY they could ever have pulled off.

manofpeace
If you don't want it, don't buy it. Wii owners should be happy they're getting a great game to add to their fairly small collection of worthy titles.

You got it right with the DS > PSP because a new modern warfare game is coming to DS with full online features It is called "Modern warfare: Mobilize"
FullMetal
I have to disagree with you guys ... PSP > DS. It's slick, has some brilliant games and it plays really well (eventhough it lacks a SECOND JOYSTICK!!!).

Carnage1120
I have to disagree with you guys ... PSP > DS. It's slick, has some brilliant games and it plays really well (eventhough it lacks a SECOND JOYSTICK!!!). PSP has more than DS since PSP has better online games, both GTA games, and I have custom firmware 3.90 m33-2. I can play any game below the power of a last gen console. N64, PS1, SNES, Sega Gen. It plays it all. DS has the better selection of Single player games. I have played Pokemon diamond for over 300 hours. 300 freaking ours clocked in that damn game, thats 2 times more than my San andreas time! It can't play PS1 but the DS is also open to SNES/Gen/NES/etc... emulation. Anyway it's great that the Wii is getting Modern Warfare, it's a good thing for gaming in general that developers want to build games to consoles strengths and the Wii's strengths have dissapointingly been underutilised so far. Also so f*ck if it doesn't have great multiplayer. f*ck multiplayer, i'm sick of companies focusing solely on multiplayer and scrimping on a decent single player campaign. FullMetal
Although it's entirely offtopic, I'm still somewhat thinking about buying a PSP. Games for it are really cheap (the ones I'm interested in are GTA games and some others... Killzone/Tekken/...). Heck, Chinatown Wars has been announced for the PSP too so it's more than worth it. And with the other extra nifty features (that aren't that important but do contribute) it's more than worth it. I just need to find myself the best deal. 150 is alot of money for what it is in my opinion.

Abel.
Call of Duty have numerous threads and also a specific Modern Warfare topic. On top of that, how is that blasphemy? Focussing on console FPS gameplay has been the biggest BLASPHEMY they could ever have pulled off. Yes, the game works terribly (when you've had the PC version to compare) on both consoles, this Wii port will be worse moreso. But of course. that's not the point, the point is that Wii owner's can finally play (albeit, a severely cut down version of) an absolutely great FPS. Don't tell me that CoD: 4's campaign was bad, it was incredible and many of you will agree.
3minty3
Why is this not in the MW2 topic. The wii has really yet to master the shooting concept. There has been some good games but Im hoping that wii motion plus will raise the standard and maybe natal or the PS3 motion project can create some really good games for the FPS genre. Tobias Fünke
I guess you could just call this game Modern Wiifare! Badum tish. Why is this not in the MW2 topic. This is Cod 4, not MW2.

Long Haired Freaky Guy
I have to disagree with you guys ... PSP > DS. It's slick, has some brilliant games and it plays really well (eventhough it lacks a SECOND JOYSTICK!!!). PSP has more than DS since PSP has better online games, both GTA games, Why does having both GTA games instantly make it better then the DS? I've played both of the handhelds, and comparing them is pointless due to them both going for different things. As always, Ninty have gone for family games, such as Brain Training and the like, whereas Sony have stuck to 'real' games. And it's about time us WII owners get a decent game. Fed up of going into shops and seeing the chart games filled with sh*tty little party games....Babysitter Party anyone? I liked the whole WII aspect of gun control in Resident Evil 4, and hope they use this idea.
