Jannomag Posted August 19, 2009 Share Posted August 19, 2009 Hi, I've modded my GTA4 with new cars, yesterday. All things worked perfectly. Today, I found two other new cars and I put them into my vehicles.img with spark - "the same proceed as..." yesterday But when I start the game an go out of my loft, the game begins to lag and the car models (all models, original and modded) are "damaged". For example, the chassis isn't there or the wheels are missing. Than I copied my originial, unmodded vehicles.img in the cdimage folder. But when I start the game, I've got the same errors! How can I make the game working?? I hope somebody can help me...I don't want to install the game new ^^ Waiting for answers ... Jannomag Posted August 20, 2009 Author Share Posted August 20, 2009 Hm, the game doesn't work perfectly, but my computer isn't bad: Intel Core2Quad 9300 @ 2,8GHz 4GB RAM (3,25GB at 32Bit) ATi HD4870 1GB Windows 7 RC1 32Bit. It's illogical, I think, because I've got the same Error with ALL original files... But the game hadn't any errors like this, before I put two modded cars into the vehicles.img. I think I know my mistake, now. I didn't rebuild the image - but, I already said that, the game has the same errors with the original, unmodded vehicles.img. ICdevil Posted August 23, 2009 Share Posted August 23, 2009 Actually you have a pretty good computer to run it on high without any lag, i dont see a reason why it shouldnt run. Jannomag Posted August 24, 2009 Author Share Posted August 24, 2009 Yes - my system should do gta on high without lags. but my highest FPS with middle settings counts 28 - measured at night in bohan - not much cars and people on the streets. At combat with much people, guns and fire at day with sun, I get maximum 22. For comparison only: I run Crysis with Dx10 on "Very High" with 25-30FPS - Flight Simulator X runs with a huge addon scenery and highest settings with 30 FPS - this shows, that R* has programmed gta 4 for nVidia Cards only! Because my friend runs gta 4 on a DualCore E8400, 8800GTS 512MB and 3GB RAM with XP SP3 with the same settings, which I have, with a FPS of 30-45! This sucks!
