Terminus
Well, it comes out on the 26th, who is getting it? There is a villager creator on the Xbox website that will be a quest-giving NPC in game if you type in your preorder number. Also you can Join the Revolution on facebook and get rewards. I think so far they've been pretty tame, a wallpaper, a screensaver, and a "never before seen" trailer. Hopefully the 4th and last reward is worth something. I haven't joined it just cause the prizes are so lame. Oh, yeah, and you've probably seen the commercials saying that if you preorder at Gamestop you get a special sword, but if the swords are as extremely customizable(via decisions) as they say it shouldn't really matter. I'm contemplating pre-ordering it so I can create a villager named King Dingaling, but Fable II wasn't as replayable as I'd hoped. I never really get excited over games, I don't even have Reach. Rebel
I don't have Reach, but then again I've never liked the Halo series. As for this game, after having pre ordered FO New Vegas I think I'm going to hold out until reviews/videos pop up about Fable after its released and see what it ends up like. Plus if its as good as I'm hoping then I'd wait until it lowers in price.
mrpain
Gamespot review is out and its the same score as II, 7.5/10 http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/rpg/fablei...ary;read-review Simplified gameplay? I got no problem with that because I only focus on atmosphere of the game. Lack of choices? Goddammit I hope I dont come across this in the game. The-King
I'd just like to give out a big "f*ck you" to Lionhead for delaying the PC version until at the very least Q1 next year. But then again, I probably won't have a PC capable of handling it till past that point anyway. |PropagandaIncorporated:|: Steam:|: DeviantArt:|: Last.FM|

I've not picked this up yet as Fallout has been taking up all my gaming time but this is supposed to be short as hell, shorter than Fable 2 and that wasn't quite long either. A tad disappointing if true as by the sounds of Molyneux i thought it would of been quite long. I'll end up picking up as i did like Fable but i'll probably wait until it's gone cheaper. Rebel
Fallout's keeping me busy to (whenever I get to play the bloody thing) but I've heard Fable 3 is kind of a hit and miss from most things I've read. That you don't really get to decide your own path for the most part and that the whole empire thing fell a little short with people. But I'll end up checking it out for myself whenever it does drop to about £20 or less since there's other games I want to play along with this. Straznicy
I played the first Fable and loved it. I might have some loose change soon, so I'm tempted to buy this. Only thing that's putting me off it is the longevity - does it keep you glued long enough to merit £40?

In my personal opinion, get Fable 2, Fable 3 just isn't worth it, having played both, Fable 2 is a much much better game.
mrpain
Borrowed a copy of the Collectors Edition from my friend and just spent a good 45 minutes on it. I am liking the atmosphere so far and I can't understand my Gamespot said there were lack of choices. (Eg. Picking clothes, Elisa, Deciding the execution) The castle escape route reminded me of Gears of War though.
mrpain
Excuse the bump, but I’ve completed the game twice since my last post. I can’t see why most people are hating the game. This is truly one of the best games I’ve ever played. The choices are smart, the battles are epic and the characters are very lovable! Well except for Page maybe but still the atmosphere of this game really makes you feel like you’re trying to rule a kingdom. The most intense part of the game was where Walter was blinded by The Crawler. Sad really, but they should at least kept Walter blinded till his death. I would have given this a 9/
flitcroft101
Play the previous fable games and you'll understand why people think it's a step back rather than a step forward. Then try out a proper RPG game and you'll understand why people think it's so limited. That being said it's still a decent game... I enjoyed it. I did played the first two Fable games but I felt like III took a huge leap forward. And a proper RPG game you mean like Mass Effect or Borderlands that yeah I would understand. I'm just sad not everyone see the game the way I do. Also, I wanna hear about other players' weapons. I had my sword with blood soaking all over it by the end of the game. Lithium
I really don't care for this Fable. It seems super short and you can't even customize your weapons. The decisions are really hard to make though at the end, that's for sure.

Slingaa
you can't even customize your weapons. Seriously? That sucks. Was looking through this thread to see if I should get this and that has put me right off. I used to love using augments in Fable II.

Was looking through this thread to see if I should get this and that has put me right off. I used to love using augments in Fable II. Me too! It just seems like the left a sh*t load of good stuff from the other games out. You collect experience, but you don't even get to spend it the same way as before. What a bunch of BS. It only took me about 6 hours to beat the campaign and it didn't even feel like you were doing anything spectacular. Boooo!
JonnyVercetti
Yeah I've completed it twice, I completed it the first time in about 6-7 hours. I'm dissapointed. I completed Fable II way over 10 times (I know, sad) and I could still go through it again. I'm struggling to go throuth Fable III a third time, seems abit of a drag. They took out the whole childhood thing, the dog is actually useless as the dig spot prizes are not even worth digging and the treasures stick out like a sore thumb. Also, no crossbows? I understand taking bows out for the second game but why take out the crossbows in the third? It's only 50 years since the last game. I think they've degraded the graphics aswell? Everythings blurry and undetailed. Looks like a ps2 game at some points. Also not a fan about the hero having a voice. All of his ancestors were silent and hardly spoke but now we've got a talkative one. One thing i've noticed, most of the time in battle, we are either fighting hobbes or hollow men. You might get the odd wolf or you fight shadows at the end. It just seems in 50 years hobbes have been having hardcore breeding sessions and hollow men come out to play more often. It gets boring. The atmosphere is good ,the gameplay is pretty much the same and I think battles is alot harder as it's easier to die and the bosses are much harder but overall, dissapointment. Sorry for being an ass and moaning but this is a massive step back. Edited December 3, 2010 by JonnyVercetti
