Vercetti21
Here's the IGN preview. It's so easy in life to make all these promises, but when you're a king you've got to be able to deliver on them; that's the really big thing. Anyone else get a kick out of the irony there? Jonesizzle
Fable III is not an RPG. ign I completely forgot the Fable 2 storyline, but I loved it. I need to replay it, but what hooked to me Fable and Fable 2 was the RPG elements of the game. Looks like what might piss people off, people being the media, is the whole child labor and slavery thing they have in the game. There are more sinister uses of the mechanic too; a beggar approaches the hero and asks for money. Again the hero takes their hand, and what starts off as a humorous jaunt soon turns darker, as the pauper is lead to the local factory to be sold off. As he gets wind of what's going on, the beggar digs in his heels, at which point the hero violently drags him to the destination. Edited February 14, 2010 by DOOM! Oblivionz
That's not necessarily what it means, dude. It means they're taking it a new direction and focusing more on the kingdom than the single character as a whole, and doing completely new things with the game. Jonesizzle
So announcing someone dead means there necessarily not dead? idk. I understand where you are coming from, from what I read it doesn't seem like a RPG at all, more like being a king and making promises and going through with them. Vercetti21
Personally I kinda like the scrapping of the RPG element, but I do wish the combat could be improved from mundane button mashing. And as long as it doesn't become Albion Tycoon as far as managing the kingdom goes. The weapon evolving to your character sounds cool though. Jake
Oh sh*t we can hold our girlfriend's hand now while we walk together. And so much emphasis on the button-wings like it's such a huge deal when I'm sure it will be cool to see once and then after that it will be nothing exciting. The only thing that even looked remotely cool was the weapon morphing. And even that will probably too black and white and not diverse enough to even matter. Maybe this one will actually be worth playing after we beat it, that'd be cool.
Rick88
It's nice to hear from this game again, I'm so pumped for it. I was a bit letdown by the news about them taking off the RPG elements, but I"m liking the sound of all the other new features they're adding in, such as the weapon morphing, expression/dynamic touch systems and all that. Game looks really good so far.

Creed Bratton
Am I the only one who thinks Fable is a piece of crap? It seems only sh*tty titles make it to from consoles to PC these days. Also, Peter Molyneux is an idiot.

CharmingCharlie
As some may know there have been mutterings about a PC version of Fable 3, it started with this rumour :- http://www.strategyinformer.com/news/8017/...windows-sticker You can clearly see it says "Only on Xbox 360 and Windows". Naturally it was passed off as "fake" and "LOLZ dat is so 4chan evrbdy nows like da PC is ded". Microsoft followed things up with a statement that said :- "We've made no official announcements but please stay tuned." So not exactly a denial but not confirmation either. That was till today, according to C+VG Fable 3 is coming to the PC :- Microsoft's just confirmed the much-rumoured PC version of Fable III. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=247669 So there you go Fable 3 is coming to the PC, whilst this isn't really a game that interests me I am hoping this marks a change in the way Microsoft deals with the PC. It would be nice to see Microsoft using Fable 3 as it's starting point to embracing the PC rather than screwing it and robbing it at every chance it gets. FullMetal
Oh god and I thought I was the only one who thinks Fable is utter sh*t. Or well, the atmosphere and graphics look good. Gameplay is just as lame as it can get. I find it odd how Microsoft also pushes this title to PC. Maybe because it supports GFWL or am I wrong? I would find it really remarkable if they'd 'push' this game to PC aswell without GFWL.
Akavari
fable 1 was a masterpiece. fable 2 was a mediocre disappointment. fable 3 will probably be garbage too. its a shame...
Oblivionz
Eh, I quite enjoyed Fable II. Some great moments with friends on Co-Op, and I purchased both DLC add-ons on release. Pretty hyped for this.
mrpain
There are moments in Fable I and II that really amazes me. For example: Fable I: The Arena Battle (Killing Whisper and then dealing with her father later felt very strong for me.), random guy asked me to help him but it was an ambush and Balverines attacking me just because I spelled sh*t. Fable II: After doing the Oakfield Massacre Quest and seeing the Temple of Light in ruins really made me felt as if I wiped out an entire religion, being divorce by my wife (She was not happy with the money being given to her), battle agaisnt the Spire Guards on the beach, running through the fire and flames as a child and playing fetch with my dog. Who's a gooood boy? One thing that I like about Fable games is that they tackle our feelings emotionally. Fable II did a great job at his. They focused more on the atmosphere than the combat which I think is a great idea. From what I've seen so far of Fable III, I must say I'm very impressed. I'm glad they bring the dog back, I will never get tired of my furry little friend. I'm curious about this place. It looks so...sticky. Reminds me of the home of the Locust (Gears of War enemies). Bloody hell, the Hollow Men got some new gear. The touch emotions are really interesting. Cant wait to hold somebody's hand or drag them to their death. A story can be told with this screenshot. It shows the same hero and his daughter in the above screenshot. The way hes holding the gun its like hes protection his daughter. Basically, hes telling someone to "Back the f*ck away!" Also, the dog looks old. Could it be the same dog from Fable II? This is the weirdest screenshot I've seen so far. I have no idea who is the hero out of the three. Fat guy on the left is dual-weilding, could it mean we could dual-weild now? Guy slashing his sword in the middle looks like the hero in the above screenshot with evil marks all over him, could the red marks work in similiar ways like the Will marks in Fable II? Moustache guy on the right is fighting with a lute? Woah.
Creed Bratton
If it's got a more serious tone then Fable 1 I might consider getting it. The problem with Fable 1 I had was that I just couldn't take any aspect of it seriously.

Lithium
They released a new trailer a few days ago: That poor chicken! By the looks of that video, it doesn't look like it'll be any more serious than the previous games. I love the levelling up in the Fable games. My character in the the first game was huge, whereas in the second game he was big, but not quite as big even though he had full stats. I'm looking forward to this game and I think it'll be a lot of fun! I'm a big fan of the Fable series, even with the second one being a little dissapointing. Here's hoping the third installment will be much better.
mrpain
So from what I can tell from that video, after the intro our young hero would open the windows to find the feather and begin his adventure. Typical Fable. They better fix tha magic usage in this game.
