Reload/2Shots/Sawnoff

Hello everyone.

Me and a friend were discussing if the 2Shots is either a bug or it was meant by Rockstar crew...

*Explanation about the 2Shot...

In multiplayer modes like SA-MP, 2shots is meant for the Sawnoff, because it reload faster...for example~

The sawnoff got 4 shots, when you shoot 2 shots, and change weapon and back to sawnoff, you'll have it at 4again ...and so on...so you actually can fight without reloading...

-It works on every weapon, but the most weapon you can notice the effect on is the sawnoff-

So yeah, is the 2Shots a bug or it was the rockstar crew meant to do it?

I think it was meant by Rockstar to be that way. When you change to a different weapon and then come back to the previous one, the game assumes that you have reloaded it in the time between the switch. Although it sounds impractical in a real life scenario, this is just a game and forcing the player to reload manually would have been a pain in the ass. I also think this has got something to do with the auto-reload feature that the game has. It's only logical for the game to auto-reload when;

1. the clip runs out.

2. you switch to a different weapon.

That's just how the auto-reload mechanism works, I guess.

This topic would be better suited to Gameplay. Moved.

The sawed-off shotgun is a side-by-side manual hunting shotgun (found mostly in Europe). A Very unsuitable weapon for combat. Any of the other shotguns would be better.

Since the Sawed off has only the two cartridges, one in each of the side-by-side barrels' chamber. it is a great gun for home defense, where you would be likely to have only one or two shots before your throat is cut by a burglar/home invader. (Auto-Burgler Mfg. produced a handgun shotgun in 20 gauge before the US National Firearms Act requirred a $200,00 tax stamp to own them).

This gun in the game is actually a highly unlikely weapon to find in the United States. Most 'real' sawed-off shotguns are the more popular pump-shotguns with the 27 to 32 inch barrels cut back to just beyond the magazine tube. These 'real' sawn off barrels usually have 5 shots.

so in the end if you hate 2 rounds switch it to 5 rounds or more in the weapon.dat located in the data folder of the game

The weapon as Pictured is only a two shot. It is a side-by-side 'antique' shotgun used only by 'hardcorre hunters' after WW2, when the 5 shot pump shotguns became popular (although many States have hunting restrictions to only 3 rounds maximum for certain field hunting). the side-by-side is rarely found in the US now. However, Over&under two shot guns are still found in Skeet & Trap Shooting used by 'Elitiest' sports people.

Two shots quickly reloaded in the game will still get you killed in any real gun fight. changing weapons is the fastest way to reload any weapon in the game.

@lil weasel: Hey the Sawn-off was also commonly used by the Italian and American Mafia too. sneaky2.gif Nicknamed the Lupara by the Mafia, the barrel of a 12-gauge is cut down for easier concealment underneath the trench coats of American gangsters. Infamous in the St. Valentine's Day Massacre. devil.gif

But wait, what does this have to do with the topic? confused.gif

The Sawed-off shotgun has Only Two Shots before it must be reloaded.

That changing weapon to another and back again is faster than waiting for CJ to reload it. Especially so, when CJ has earned the two handed two gun level of skill.

That while the two shot shotgun is exotic, it is not a weapon to be relied on in a war, with multiple attackers.

Re: Saint Valentines Day Massacre. The shotguns were most likly 'Trench Sweeper' Pump shotguns.

The topic should have been closed immediately since it references Multi-Player game play.

What the OP has actually described in his first post isn't multiplayer specific. It happens in single player too and hence, the topic is open.
