epoxi
My go faster stripes are playing up and I need to replace some bits, but I want to know which is better ("no stripes at all" is not an option...that's a whole other issue). More: or Less: Thanks in advance. Any other constructive criticism would be appreciated.
stretch.
I think debadging the rear with the less stripe option would look pretty sweet.

Hmm, sounds like a great idea, but there are holes under the letters, do you have a tutorial on how to remove them and paint them?
stretch.
Holes? Damn the french and their awkward car making skills, Normally it's blip it with some weld, some bondo, sand, paint. There's more to it than that... but you get the idea.
Black-hawk
There's always the hair-dryer and string method of debadging. Also, full stripe.
Pico
I say full.
Kimd41
I think full looks better.

*MURDOC*
Full. I dont like when the stripes just end.
epoxi
Thanks guys, the full stripe will stay then. I don't think I'll bother with debadging though because stuffing the holes with filler or sanding anything down sounds like a risky proposition. Lurch
Are you sure there's holes on the other side? Most newer cars just use glue. When I dechromed and debadged the VW there were holes, and it was a bitch to bondo, sand, primer, paint, etc.
epoxi
Are you sure there's holes on the other side? Most newer cars just use glue. When I dechromed and debadged the VW there were holes, and it was a bitch to bondo, sand, primer, paint, etc. I am sure: once the "E" fell off my logo, and a hole was left behind. I spent a good £5 to buy another badge to replace it...hence I'm pretty hesitant to debadge (not to mention the potential rust, mis-matching paint and dirt problems that could rear their ugly head if I did it wrong). I heard someone paid £125 to debadge the entire boot professionally, but that's a bit excessive, and I would rather 'man up' and do it myself on the cheap. As far as I'm aware, there are holes behind three of the letters in "CITROËN"...each letter is individual, so it makes my wonder why they didn't put holes for every letter then. As stretch. says: it's the marvellous French engineering. Surely it would be easier just to glue them on and clean piece of sheet metal? Black-hawk
Sir, I believe that your mode of transportation is not actually a vehicle from this world, but something more of an interdimensional mobile that has been kind enough to show its grace to us mere mortals with its superior badges that were drilled into that mysterious piece of machinery by God himself. epoxi
I believe that your mode of transportation is not actually a vehicle from this world... Yeah, I know: it's a real pain trying to go and get it serviced.
