Guest
Holy cow, this game is beautiful... I don't want to buy it, lol. Why don't you want to buy it? The handling is fine and very flexible, there are loads of options available to suit the handling to how you like it. The above pictures show how beautiful the graphics are, and the multiplayer is great if you find the right people. There's the occasional person who can ruin the fun but that's expected in every game. Trust me, buy it, it's a brilliant game. Loads of options, hell, even getting a new vehicle is satisfying because every car is rare in one form or another, yesterday I found an Eclipse which I didn't even know was in the game, that made me happy! There's all sorts to do in the game. It's not just racing, it's pretty much every driving related activity. Go-karts, NASCAR, simple cruising, vehicle collection, rally, drifting, the lot! You can even just take some photos like I did. There's a special "photo mode" with some locations you can have your car at, or replay a race and pause at any moment and freely move the camera around and take pics. I may seem like I'm advertising it but it's a brilliant game, loads of good moments await. EDIT: JBanton, the pics I posted were better Some more. They look a bit bad compared to the full size ones. If anyone wants me to upload them full-size just let me know. Edited April 4, 2013 by Guest
JB94
The Tank Car? Seriously??? Yeah, I haven't used my PS3 since last August. Joking aside, I need to buy one to enter the Hot Hatch championship... I heard the Tank car was a WMO; Weapon of Mass Obstruction.

Picked it up pretty cheap if I remember correctly. Handles like crap, obviously. The interiors are so beautiful, the attention to detail is amazing. I'm gonna go take some interior shots of some cars and post them here, sometimes they actually look photorealistic. EDIT: Took 2 interior shots, took another pic featuring my RX8. GTA_fear
Why don't you want to buy it? The problem is that I'm busy with my second playthrough in Red Dead Redemption (with almost 3 days of playing time ) and that there's still so much I can squeeze out of the games I already own. I plan on doing another playthrough in GTA IV before GTA V comes out, so that should keep me busy even more. And even if I didn't have all these games, GTA V is coming out soon and, like you said, GT5 is such a huuuge game, I wouldn't have enough time and concentration to enjoy it thoroughly. I mean, Gran Turismo 2 is too big for me at the moment, let alone Gran Turismo 5.
Guest
But the thing is, a relatively big part of GT5 is the "social" experience if you will, basically hanging out with friends, multiplayer etc. and if you get it too late you'll miss out on an active multiplayer. GT5 is a lovely game on its own but it's the network stuff that keeps you coming back. Collecting cars is relatively useless if you can't show them off online and use them in more varied races. Seasonal events get you alot of money, and the multiplayer just adds alot. To be fair, without the active multiplayer, the game wouldn't be as good and it's an experience you don't want to miss. Also about not enjoying it thoroughly before V, it's not a game you rush to complete. You just go on it, and do anything. You can't really "complete" the game, it's just an ongoing thing. Sure you can get 100% but that's just a number and there's alot more to it than numbers.
GTA_fear
Also about not enjoying it thoroughly before V, it's not a game you rush to complete. Exactly. I don't want to rush it and that's why I won't even complete like 10% of the game by the time GTA V comes out and then GT5 will just end up somewhere in the corner collecting dust for quite some time. Alick
I'd see this as a valid reason, if GTAV was out in a month, but it's 5 months away. I understand not having any freetime/funds, but you can GT5 for about £8 over here, even if you never finish it getting to 10% for very little money is worth it. The Pizza Delivery Guy
I've gotten to 98% completion, but I still have a couple (f*cking lots) of things to get done before I could even dream of getting the Gold Standard trophy. I'm going through the licenses right now and am stuck on some of the Super License tests. So far I have only 7 silvers remaining, anyone actually complete License Tests to 100% gold? Yeah, The Sebastian Vettel X Challenge is without a doubt one of the hardest thing I've ever completed... on bronze. Along with the Mercedes Benz at Nurburging, I got most on silver, but soon I'll have to re visit THAT
