F**k r*, they say "very soon" and 2 weeks later we still don't get sh**, they been doing this bullsh** sense the 1st gta 4 trailer and unfortunately(in my opinion) this newest gta hasn't had the same lasting effect like the previous 3(sa,vc, or 3), so it's pis*ing me off.

Yeah man for sure... GTA IV doesn't have enough fun stuff to do after the story that the others did. Hopefully they bring the series back to a little more unrealistic things. Doesn't even have to be unrealistic. Just put more fun weapons and stuff to do like parachuting or biking.

Yeah I agree. For me personally I would like(more so) in depth side missions(criminal, hell even "non-criminal") that net me an asset and/or a recurring source of income like gta sa and vc.Btw something I've noticed about r*s' games is that it doesn't seem they can give a "complete" game.( your either get sub-par graphics but a lot of features, or graphics without the features.)

 

Not to knock gta 4,(because it is a good game) but r* could've given us a rags to slightly better rags game that played out with Niko becoming a mid-level to low level criminal in hove beach, who ran his own operation, but had to pay "protection/tribute" to the more powerful/dominant russian mob.( call me old-fashioned, but I like rags to riches tales, especially with all the things r* could've done with all the current gta's but haven't yet done.)

How about Jeronimo Barerra simply for stating on live TV that we would have the option to date chicks with Johnny, which turned out to be bogus. He stated this exactly 1 week before TLAD was released and for thatm, he must be destroyed.

With IV, R* was always aiming for realism. The III trilogy had a lot of fun factors into it, but most of the content wasn't exactly realistic. And it's competition isn't really even considered competition.

I wanted more "realism" since after gta vc, but let's be honest that was an excuse so that r* could give us a graphically enhanced replica of gta 3( with one of the "least" used features from gta sa), not to make a more "realistic" game. In my opinion it seems that r* can't, doesn't want/like to or has a problem creating a game with "graphic muscle" and gameplay elements that would make up features and side missions all in the same game.

He's Rockstars VP of Product Development. He stated it on live tv during an episode of Gametrailers TV that was strictly for TLAD.

It's not as realistic as it can be, rather it's realistic to the point where it doesn't ruin whatever fun is left in the game.
