[WIP|VC] Xbox Vice City cars

I've finally managed to convert all vehicles from XBOX Vice City to PC. However, some models (mostly vans) contain serious alpha bug, so they won't be released for now.

 

Most cars have working reflections. Some of them have refs working partially (Glendale, etc.), sometimes they aren't working at all (Gang Burrito, etc.) Still, it's not that noticeable.

 

If it happens that after installing this pack some car doesn't spawn or crashes game, please let me know.

- SLAYERMAGGOT for converting Romero's Hearse and Voodoo.

- Adrian758257 for checking if cars work.

Whoops... Just remembered that I forgot add taxi to install script...

 

If you use Mod Installer please replace taxi.dff and taxi.txd manually.

 

I'm uploading right now fixed version of pack which has this bug fixed, it'll be named First releae (upd#1) and download link will appear in first post when file gets approved by gtagarage staff.

Holy f*cking sh*t these cars look awesome.

 

I'd practically splurge myself if you converted the rest of the cars and fixed the refs (Not sure if the no-refs bug affects GFXHack though).

Well I've converted all cars by now, but many of them have some problems with alpha textures. Just look:

I don't know what to do about that. Fortunately, ALMOST610 said he'll try to fix it smile.gif

 

And about refs... I don't know what to do about that either. Maybe it's ZModeler's bug.

It's game engine bug, xbox uses a bit newer engine. Just remake that alpha texture to 512x512, so no pixels will be seen, just clear logo.

This alpha texture was taken from PC model (XBOX models have all alpha textures totally messed up for some reason). Resizing alphas won't do the trick, it would work only if I remade them in high quality, and I haven't got time to do it.

Oh God, ZModeler's horrible when it comes to fixing refs. I'll try and find a modeler who can fix the refs for you (with 3DSMax), don't worry.

Well, i meant to remake them, not resize. And about refs, you shouldn't use auto shpere enviroment mapping, use advanced settings for better, and less shiny refs wink.gif

Well you can try but I'm not sure if it's necessary since ALMOST610 volunteered first to fix it.

Well, I can't find any modelers who can fix the refs. OnePiece was first on the list but it seems ZModeler DFFs wont open in 3DSMax, so I'm gonna try and fix the refs myself. Wish me good luck.

Sorry for double posting, but I've got important info.

 

Idaho and FBI Rancher don't work and are likely to crash game or cause it to lag.

http://yojo2.ovh.org/xboxcfix1.cab - here is the temporal patch; now Idaho/FBIRanch work but have no refs (that'll be fixed in the future, hopefully).
