Lolstfu.

Its not a Virus. The files just 'hack' into the game to get new features, and Anti Virus Programs think they are Virus because they ''hack'' the game.

There's nothing new if Kaspersky gives false positives.

E: which are you using? For my amazement my KIS 2010 found nothing.

And for try, I have repair all my infected Mods, and this is always working in GTA IV.

Strange confused.gif

You dont have to. The Program is just giving a false alarm because the files 'go in' the IV exe. Thats why. I use alice and a filecheckfix and i have no problems and no virus.

Ok, if you say it confused.gif

I have try to create a server in multiplayer.

This is not working: retrun to Windows.

I think this is beacuse i have "repair" FileCheckFix.asi

So I don't need to delete this virus into mods of GTA IV right? sad.gif

Kaspersky 2010 does not detect it as a virus or anything, so you guys will be better off updating it to 2010.

Well since the GFWL update, my Avast came up with it twice then after I decide to take no action both times it gave up, lol.

The thing is, my filecheckfix.asi isn't loading now. I have 2 other asi scripts which both work fine, but since the update the script just isn't loading. For example, the asi loader creates text files with the exact same name as the asi files as logs for each file when it loads them. It's not creating one for filecheckfix.asi now.

This means I can't play multiplayer with my modded cargrp.dat and vehicles.dat sad.gif

EDIT: Hmm, this is actually a bit off-topic in here. Sorry, carry on.

My avast detects it as a virus, but i doubt it actually is.

It's not a virus. Also Alexander Blade is the guy who made FileCheckFix so he can be sure there is no virus. Just add it to exceptions, as it detects it becauses it "enters" your GTAIV.exe and makes it ignore some filechecks.

My Avast just updated today, and now I'm having the same problems. I really wish anti-virus companies wouldn't treat packers like warnings. Do they have any idea how much trouble they cause!

I've sent a false positive report to avast about the filecheckfix false alarm, it will probably take a month until the next version update, lol i have to turn off on-access protection to play online.

if you have read the topic you would have noticed it is not a virus and it is a false positive.

virusscanners say it is a virus because it hooks into the gta4.exe, like virusses do so there is nothing wrong, and even if Alexander would pack virusses in his mods, why he still isnt banned then? but if you dont believe it then dont use it, nobody cares if you dont use it cuz you dont believe that it isnt a virus

The "infected" file is one of the three .ext scripts, I don't remeber which of them. Remove it so avast don't brake your balls biggrin.gif
