Im no longer supporting this mod! So here is the sourcecode:

BlastForce Mod

Version 1.1

Info:

This mod allows the player to charge up and then release a blastwave around the player. Smaching peds and cars.

 

Its 100% customizeable via INI file. It has 3 force levels that you can charge up to.

Each force level has individual settings:

  • CarRange
  • PedRange
  • CarForce
  • PedForce
  • PedHealth Damage
  • Car Engine Damage
  • Car explode?
  • Ped Dies?
  • Slomo?
Global settings can be changed to:
  • Cooldown time
  • Charge delay
  • Explode delay
  • Slomo Delay
  • more
It has a icon on screen to show you the current status:

NOTE: Place the INI file in the same folder as the ScriptHookDotNet.asi file!

 

Console commands:

- 'blastforce reloadsettings' : to reload the INI file

- 'blastforce showsettings' : to show the currently loaded settings

 

Changelog:

- Added a check to see if the INI was found by the script.

- Fixed the fallback values not being the same as the default values in the INI file.

Some sort of animation would be cool, but I guess this will not be that easy and I don't really know if the game already has a suitable animation for stuff like this lol.gif

Yes you're right, it a bit plain this way, but there is no way to add animation atm.

 

Im still looking for a way to a dust cloud or some other current animattion to it...

Doesn't work for me...first it crashed my game, but then it started after I removed hax's TuningMod, but no matter what I set in the ini, the cars/peds just get pushed away a little, no matter how long I charge and the cars explode, although I set the engine damage very low and car explosions to off.

And I tried to change the charge button, but it still uses the middle mouse button...

 

EDIT: And if I use 'blastforce reloadsettings' and then 'blastforce showsettings' the settings are totally different to the ones I set in the ini.

Try downloading it again, i just uploaded a Release build i uploaded the Debug in the first place).

 

About the key, works for me? If change key to "Key = X", then its on the X key.

 

Do you have the LATEST .NET Hook?

 

EDIT: Showsettings is to check if the settings are loaded correctly. If it doesnt show your own settings, then you entered them wrong, and the script revereds back to hardcoded settings.

Yeah, I'm using the .Net Script Hook v0.893 BETA

 

And even if I use the unchanged ini it shows me totally different settings.

As I said, even if I don't change anything in the ini, it seems to use these settings, although these are not the standard settings of the ini that comes in your download.

Seems like the script cant find the INI. Do you have the INI in the in same folder as ScriptHookDotNet.asi?

 

EDIT: Also found that the hardcodes (fall back values), arent the same as the default INI. Fixing it atm. Also adding a check for INI exist.

Aaaah, that was the problem lol.gif

I put them both in the scripts folder, but now I copied the ini into the main folder and it works now.

Doesn't work, when I press the Middle Mouse button, nothing happen. But I see the little guy on the upper left corner, if I change the button, nothing happen too.

You have to hold the button, not just press it.

 

EDIT: 1.1 doesn't work for me somehow, just doesn't load sad.gif

 

EDIT2: Ok, I just renamed the mod from blastforce.dll to blastforce.net.dll and now it works again ^^

Do you have you're middle mouse button set to 'Middle mouse Button' ? (in the Logitech/MS settings). If you have it set to, say, Maximize a windows, then the Middle Mouse button doesnt work in GTA.

 

What Key did you change it to? Copy the line.

 

Do you have the INI in the GTA ROOT folder? (where the .exe is)? Look in the console, does it say 'cant find ini'?

 

Anyway, all works fine here?

Ah, nevermind, it works now. But it takes a lot of time between the levels

You an change that in the INI. CoolDownTime is the time the icon is red (you cant do anything), and ChargeDelay is the time (in milliseconds), between levels.

 

I made it customizeable for ppl that dont want to have the little 'realised' feel to it tounge.gif

I noticed while playing that not all cars are being pushed away. The garbage truck is one and the others were cars with criminals in it while I did the police missions. No big deal or anything that bothers me, just wanted to tell you smile.gif

That should be correct, if im correct there is a check that excludes Mission Vehicles. Ill add a option to include or exclude mission peds/cars in the next version wink.gif

 

Btw, there are always some peds/cars that dont get affected, thats just the game i guess.

The garbage truck wasn't a mission car, just randomly driving around.

I remember on HazardX's GrabScript, that not all cars were grabable, too, so maybe those cars have some sort of special attributes or something like that.

But as I said: Nothing bothering, just noticed it.

Holly Smoke!! This mod is awesome! Just tried it and it worked perfectly, even though i still get an fps drop when i activate it biggrin.gif

 

Oh and you can also use it to blast police chopper and make them loose controll, its very funny to watch them spinning around trying to control the chopper just to get crashed in the end. Great work man icon14.gif
