I know it's a beta so this mod is still unstable...but excellent job

This make GTA once more a playable game. Keep it up

 

I got a question.

Am I the only one who's getting some hazy screen when I activate the mod?

I even get some motion-blur which I don't see it in normal game play.

(Sorry, if it was meant to be like it)

 

Also, the police back up (not Noose) doesn't work for me. It makes the game screen into a minimum size.

(Again, this could be my own problem though)

Thats normal and has nothing to do with this mod. Just push the letter P and it will go back to normal.(the P key toggles motion blur)

A few bugs to report:

 

1. When calling police backup, the backup cars' hazard lights are on.

 

2. With the police backup, sometimes the police officers won't help, and if one does, the other gets back in the car and drives a few feet, stops, and waits.

 

3. When I called the NOOSE backup, it said it was approved, they didn't show. I finish the shootout with myself and "partner"(bodyguard mod), and then 2 NOOSE trucks show up... doh!

 

4. After calling backup, they never leave the scene in the cars. Either they walk away, or they sit in their cars and wait.

 

5. When trying to go off duty, game crashes.

 

6. The emergency siren only appears on the spawned car, although on others it still says whether it has been toggled or not.

 

7. When involved in a shootout near the Paddy Wagon(prisoner transport), the drivers got out and shot at me, although numerous other cops were around and they were not, and I did not have a wanted level.

 

8. You are able to arrest and frisk cops (which is really funny)!

 

9. You are able to arrest and frisk while not on duty. I started a game, went up to someone and frisked them, then arrested someone else. They did the animations, but Nikko only did the frisking animation, not the arresting one.

 

 

Requests:

1. Allow other cops to use the emergency siren when they're out of the vehicle, or automatically switch to it when you get out of your vehicle, because it is AWESOME when you are stopped at a crime scene.

 

2. Unlock the police cars at the PDs so that you can get another when your is trashed, or allow you to call for another.

 

3. Add the animation of the criminal putting his hands behind his back (from the frisking) when you arrest them, rather than just having their hands up before spawning into the Paddy Wagon.

 

 

Thank you so much for releasing this, because it is still really awesome even in beta!

Is arrest supposed to just point the gun and the ped disappears into the truck? Did the cuffing animation not make it in?

Thanks, I noticed that after playing it several times.

I usually play with the Xbox controller and hardly every use the keyboard(except for activating mods), and I guess this was the first time to press "P" during game. So I was suprised

 

Other functions are going well (ofcourse, the errors which are already mentioned by others are happing as errors).

yOu can arrest just about anyone provided they are within 2.5 metres of you.

for realism the noose team will take a while to come (if they work)

hazard lights is not a bug.

Suggestion: I'll suggest, as I did before, to the police cars follows you when you are with the sirens on, any police car you found in the streets, if you are with the sirens on, they follow you, I think that's more realistic...

 

The backup cars could follow you too, and when you want to dispatch them you press something like alt+j don't know lol...

i have arrest a woman,

a police transporter spawn in near.

 

the arrested woman switch into the police transporter.

 

ERROR Scripting LCPD First Response 911 !

 

coms up at the left up corner.

 

he go out of the police transporter, another cops shooting at him

 

and the complete script doesnt work !

 

i must restart GTA IV that the script working.

 

edit: but reload a savegame is an alternative.

 

edit2:

 

i searched the people by one typine ALT+F, but he searched after the of people at the policecar and i see at the street, another one have the hands behind.

 

i have no so often criminals !

 

i have fleeing peoples, but transport script gave an error after arrest.

No you do not have to reload GTA if the script stops working. Just press: ' and type reloadscripts then press esc and exit the menu, then press alt + P and your back

 

Some points I found

 

- Hardly anyone I search is a criminal, and if they are, they never flee?

 

- You have to aim your body perfectly to make the frisking look real, otherwise he starts to search the air.

 

- the paramedic thing dosent work... whats the key for that?

 

- Police backup AND noose backup work fine for me

 

- When I ask for noose backup... I never get the helicopter, just the normal noose truck

 

- The lights without siren had me laughing in fits... Maybe if it didnt have that annoying sound (sounds asif it is broken) it would be ok

 

- When your duty car spawns, can you please make it the other police car? (police2) and working with the sirens

 

-When you go off duty, it crashes. Although I found an alternate way (the above big writing)

 

Thats what ive found at the moment, its pretty good otherwise, I like the way the cop walks imo.

sound go up and down, the same by driving.

I select one go to the crime scene and there are people shooting at me = OK

yea sometimes they do that for me too, sometimes they do get out and then die haha.

But yea so its just a bit buggy but thats all, i think maybe the noose thing fails for me as the N key is binded to something with the First person Driver mod.

but i have a main question to understand the normal police sirens.

 

i am from germany.

 

my questions is, at gta iv have any police cars 3 sirens.

 

on g, normal sirens

 

on hold g, speed up sirens

 

on double tab thrilling sirens

 

can anyone help me to understand for what is what sirens ??

on g, normal sirens: Is just for when your travelling down a straight road with a few cars

 

on hold g, speed up sirens: This is for when you go through the red lights or cross a junction.

 

on double tab thrilling sirens: This is for when you are trying to get through heavy traffic and you are stuck.

asi loader and scripthook required.

 

download this at coding forum.

 

put the files asi and scripthook in gta iv folder.

 

then gut the lcpd first responce "lspdfr" in the script folder from scripthook.

 

than start the game and press the alt + p.

 

delete asi trainer before, i you use this.

Gotta say, this is a f*cking brilliant mod. Playing a cop is just awesome, something else from being a baddy.

Sure, there's some bugs, but it was just a preview, so that's understandable.

 

Just pointing out the bugs:

 

1. Police backup will come over, but they don't get out, or crash into you.

2. Noose backup sometimes doesn't arrive.

3. When you search people, and there's a big group around you, you will keep searching everyone around you, untill you're done.

4. The "L" siren still makes a sound (It's quite funny though )

5. My character won't turn back to Niko, or the game crashes.

 

Other then that, it's already awesome. It still needs some custom missions, like a Dispatch radio giving you things to do. Or other units calling in for backup, to keep it lively. But I'm sure you'll get to that at one point.

i dont have all this problems.

 

1. police backup go out folow oder shoot at the criminals.

2. noose cames late, yeah, most 30 seconds or 1minute or 2.

3. YES i have this problem too.

the searching at the air is the another bug.

4.YES the same.

5. at me never. -> have you install a trainer or antoher mod with this same key ?

 

transporting the arrest people didnt not ever functionally.

 

ALT-M not working for paramedic.

Right, a small update.

 

Any off duty crashes are caused by your player wearing hats or other props BEFORE he goes on duty. To sort this issue, go to the wardrobe and remove ALL hats, glasses or anything else like bags or w/e, SAVE your game, then go on duty.

 

Police backup will only do anything if they are near someone who is either

 

assaulting YOU

shooting ANYONE

resisting YOU

 

Paramedics are just plain buggy. Very hard to get it working right. Will remove.

I'm fixing the lights only and the noose.
