could use a different back gorund. and when u click on the downloads, can i suggest that we see all the first responses made so that we can see what is being updated?

Overall I think that the new site is much better than it was. But the background is a bit boring and the downloads should contain a few versions in case one doesn't work for someone. But great job and looking forward to the new mod soon.

I remember in an earlier version you could play first response as Nico, please re-enable it!

I guess you could fix it with a skin? For example reskin one of the characters you rarely see, like one of the FBI skins, and then choose the skin when you go on duty.

 

And by the way, where do you guys find police skins? In various videos of PPM and LCPDFR i see fancy police skins, but i simply can't find it anywhere when i search for it

Nope, they have no skins for GTA IV unfortunately.

So, I have played the mod and I really like it so far, can't wait for the next release

 

I have one question tough, How does ALT+F work?

So far the only thing I got out of it was getting in/out of cars (just like the normal F key does)

 

I tried unbinding the F key but I still could not get this one command to work

 

I am on version 1.0.3 (a zero more, a zero less)

No other mods running.

Alt+F is incorrect, it must be a typo. The correct key combination (for 0.80) is Alt+R.

Hi guys,

 

I can't get this mod to work.

 

I've a fresh install of GTA IV, not patched.

I've got all the script hooks, asi loaders in the root dir and got the 'FirstResponse.net.dll' in the Scripts folder within the root dir.

 

Nothing happens in the game.

 

Any ideas?

As far as I know, 1.0.3 is the best patch for mods, pretty much all of them work with it, you might want to try that

Updated to 1.0.4.0 and the game gets as far as the loading screen with the mission name in the bottom right and crashes.

 

So time for a reinstall.

After you have an fresh reinstall, patch the install to 1.0.3.0 and then copy/paste the files (asi, scripthook, etc...) to install and that should work.

Just seen a picture on GTA police mods.com, and it gave me a nidea for a mission in a future release, obviously a sensitve topic but maybee you could be called to the airport because of a security risk I.E man on the runway or terrorist attack, but you script other AI units to go and you end up in a convoy or possy of police cars heading towrds the airport to take the guy down, cause in reality any reoprt of problems at airports in any country and they will send everything they've got

 

Just a mention on a previous post i put up, the convoy idea, is it something that could be put into future releases on afew missions, another idea of a missipon would be - You are patroling when you get a call about a deranged man with a gun shouting in the street, you start responding, and say you get to a juntion and 2 cruisers and a noose patriot come by and you follow them to the scene.

 

Once you get to the scene you surround the man but you script it so the AI police don't shoot and say you give him a couple of warnings by pressing a key and say 90% of the time he complies and 10% he opens fire which then allow the officers to open fire, then a ambulance gets dispatched to the person shot and you give him cpr or something till they come it would be a great mission but probably very hard or almost imposible to code, i'll dream it for now lol

If you want to have a certain number of AI cops to help you without making it too easy, you could always give the criminal gunman/men the skins from the main quest's bank robbery mission and then give them much more health than normal peds.

 

After all a guy with a top tier military grade kevlar suit and some padding can easily take dozens of the standard issue 9mm bullets used by the police.
