[IV|WIP] LCPD First Response

I know some people may be slightly disappointed by this but I've decided it would be sensible to leave out missions for the initial release of 0.90 in order to release it promptly.  Missions are the one thing I've still to do and if I leave them out, it's possible that 0.90 will be released by the end of this week.

 

What do you think?

I strongly disagree. Better make it properly the first time, instead of letting you get stressed by the whiners in here, which scream for a release date and can't wait. Missions are the main attraction of 0.9 as far as i know, so it would really be a shame to let them out in the first place.

I forgot to add that I'd release missions in a 0.90B perhaps 2 weeks after the release.

I forgot to add that I'd release missions in a 0.90B perhaps 2 weeks after the release.

Well, that's another story then. I'll guess i would be alright with that then. But anyway, take your time. You're doing a great job, and you're doing it for free, so don't feel obligated to do anything

Most things are possible, drawing text on screen is perfectly possible and I might very well do that for 0.95. One problem however, I don't think it's "right" to clutter the screen with text etc as when people make movies, screenshots etc etc they cant remove it and it's pretty ugly.

Most things are possible, drawing text on screen is perfectly possible and I might very well do that for 0.95. One problem however, I don't think it's "right" to clutter the screen with text etc as when people make movies, screenshots etc etc they cant remove it and it's pretty ugly.

Well.....could you make it a user enabled or disabled option? Like "ehh I dont want this...." and they edit a .ini file to disable it or re-enable or key it in to add or remove it?

MM I say wait until the feature's which you origionaly told us about are ready to go. It may be a bit of a delay but the longer the wait the better the product (in most cases) So yeah I would just release it when its complete.

However..I can't use the police computer because I haven't unlocked it yet.

I've managed to get the FR mod working but for some reason, when I save the game, the saves come corrupted or something (make GTA crash to desktop) and I have to start a new game every time.

 

This means I'm stuck on one island, have no phone or cheats, have no police computer, and have to start a new game and do the first mission everytime I play the game. Can anyone help with this? Maybe I need to update/change some installation files?

I wonder if there are traffic stop modes....like having them pull over the right way and not doing a full 180 at you

Sure, just go off duty before you save. If you save as a cop it screws the game.

 

Also tstops are much better and yes there will be an installer for 0.90 which will install the files for the police HQ as well as the mod.

Yeah i noticed that....that killed it last time i saved as a cop....THANKS AUTOSAVE! any way..its running..but every time i close the game it crashes..and every so often it crashes in the middle of a pursuit

Or something like in True Crime New York City. You can find evidences on people. Then you can either bring them back to the station or put them illegally on other people, then arrest them for possessing such things. LOL.

well its purrfect that you can choose since the 0.8c installer cleared all the data when it failed to install the xlive.dll
