GTA SA NY style Map

ZOMFG!!! i just went to sleep and near the half of ppl is making a war!

 

Let see how it happend,

 

IV2SA textures mod was a great mod, me, kowaah and L.H we were doing, now the first guy that left i think was L.H then like 1 week later i start with a damn fever and a cold, i left the mod for some weeks and at the end i left it, i started to talk stuff about thie mod inside that topic(thats why all think i renamed it!!)and Kowaah just told me to make a new one couse they were 2 total diferent mods, he never said me to f*ck off or stuff like that; so i did a new topic(this one!)

 

So finally!here is;

IV2SA is a total diferent mod!

This one is a total New

 

and Kowaah was in the right way, d875j you were wrong man whatsthat.gif

so i hope no more bad stuff

 

and both of you, kowaah and d875j, you should respect each other both are moders but since all mods Kowaah has made and his time in this forum i think he is a little more experienced so why dont stop all?

 

Now lets continue....

(starting to upload images of the building i made)

 

and finally, will you make the collisions?(noel)?

ok here is the building that its a shame the fkass col is a sh*t but the building in a way its awsome!

its a randome building(80% OF Ny is made of them xD) only the 20% of NY building are important ones(empire state,chrylser tower, etc)

When you make a coll, why don't you just use a less detailed 'box' for it.

This avoids coll errors but the 'box' needs to be the same basic shape as original model but less detailed.

3D Windows/Doors, a few stupid stuff in the roof. Anything.

 

And its not nesesary that you do thouse details to the col! You can leave the Col simple as the building is now. wink.gif (No need for 3D Windows Col)

Noelgamo;you can search in google some GTA IV Map (with big resolution) so in that way you can follow the road pads and all to make landscape, dont make it as that big man

but yeah near to it but not so big,i highly doupt GTA SA load a so big map

GTA IV is about 3/4 the size of SA in actual size, and about 1/100th the size in scope.

yeah its couse GTA IV works with 4 scales

1-When you are seeing through Niko

2-When you are over the normal ped walking limit(like when you are in GetaLife building there the game is using this scale)

3-When you are over the 2nd limit(flying an anihilator)

4-The last one is the sky(the biggest one)

 

its like if GTA IV Map was a toymap lol.gif

its really small but it gives the impression is damn Big xD

 

im actaully leaving making Buildings i have to do the landscape so i base the size of the city xD

(the other reason is couse im really tired of trying and trying with cols, and everytime they are fked over and over)

LOL does it supposed to look kindah the same to IV's algonquin? like the road layouts cause through the map you cant see if its 2/3/1 lane road. LOL I was roaming around Algonquin and I have my idea that the main highways will go underneath the small roads xD

ooo man noel,

 

3D Max is just so perfect, that doesnt mean your GTA Work will go to the sh*t

 

all its that Edges faces+smoothlights and all random efects 3D Max give to the mesh to look good while working take FPS and working memory, so more high poly you make it, more that happend

and the only fix to it is, a Turbo Extereme Modeleing PC or work without edges faces xD

 

so far it looks awsome and....im making north beach and docks biggrin.gif

finally im starting with my landscape! lol.gif

 

when my time square was about 22k polies that started to happend(but only edges faces disappearing)

i reducted to 4k polies and problem was resolved

LOL its only 5k all then I reset it and made a box it still does the same thing even with the skin mesh only O.o

Im importing middle park east 1 ingame just to try the COL file of it ^^

can I have those models need col fixing and a freeway or highway road texture LOOL dont copy the exact layout of the north side.....make it out style just use it for as preference

OMG even with wireframe on a single box it still does that.

WOOT FAIL Supermortalhuman road textures failed or maybe i 4got to put it again on the txd. in game I cant see it but no col problems.

this map is from scratch, not convertions allowed, all convertions we will have will be brooklyn birdge and statue of liberty(automans one)

and Flat face.....just fking awsome! -no words- Noel i really wanna see screenies biggrin.gif

 

but if you want man show screenies of your convertions, maybe we can make some changes and in that way is not more a convertion biggrin.gif

and noel, dont use them in 512x512!! resize them to 256x256 couse MeD wont place them with 512x512 textures, once placed the whole map we can start to put all 512x512 textures biggrin.gif

but for now 256
