Here we can observe a snaggle-toothed derp in it's natural habitat, the kitchen.

When not rolling around on the kitchen floor, the snaggle-toothed derp enjoys digging up the

septic tank and sneezing on our food.

I also got pets, two cats. Not any specific race, male and female, both had castration. Both are in-door cats, and are already eight years old. Or nine. Not sure about that one. smile.gif

But, the male, Leevi, seems to be non-social one, mostly likes to sleep in silent corner, where ever he finds a comfortable place, and comes out for the food and litterbox, and every now and then just for a bit of petting.

The female, Heppu, is nearly too social, she either sleeps or is begging for petting. While sleeping, she might come sleep next to your head on the pillow, and while on the computer, she comes on the left side of the laptop, and either sleeps or just sits and watches.

Lovely creatures, can't say more. smile.gif

Our kitten likes getting into the strangest places, the dishwasher, the fridge, the washing machine and plastic bags. Have any of your experience this with your own pets?

That is the problem with pets.  They don't live long enough and you tend to love them more than humans.  It is really hard to accept that they will die before you do.  My close friend that I grew up working with in the pet industry will never have another pet - and he is a huge animal lover to say the least.  He just can't handle the heartbreak.

It was about this time five years ago that my childhood mutt died. The lil' f*cker made it a bit over 19 years old. I have to go with George Carlin's philosophy on this one though: Life is a series of dogs. It sucks to lose them, but you can easily get another one and you're right back in business.

Dude that is wizard. Does it bite?

Nope. He did quickly nipple my finger once. Mostly though, they're very friendly creatures, and make really good pets. Their claws grow sharp and they can unintentionally scratch you at times however.

He's really cute.

I don't have any pics since they stay outside on a little built pen for them since my cat even opens the f*cking closets and steals food. They are really troubling inside the house.

I have a black labrator mixed with boxer by the name of Chucky. He's a family pet.

A cute(and my pet) cocker spaniel. He's 3 years old(human years) and he loves to run,and since I jog a lot,he always comes with me.We're really bonded together. He's almost like a brother to me.He's called Nero.

A cat,not sure what race. He's really lazy and lies in any place, normally on shadows. He's not a born hunter and he loves to play by biting and scratching. He doesn't mean it but he may hurt us sometimes by doing that.

I also had a pet which we made a grave to which really touched me when she died. She was a small dog, about 1 feet.I missed her for a year.I'm over it now though, since I have Nero now.

I'm really a pet guy and I love animals but my parents won't let me have some that I want. For an example,I'd like to have my own cat, since I love cats(seriously, people even find me weird because I find cats so cute, specially their little feet.I'd also love to have a hamster because I find them cute.

Anyway...

We have three black cats. They are brothers that we rescued when they were not even 2 weeks old - Pip, Tim, and Muntz. We had to feed them with eye droppers and all that.

Since they are brothers, they are all 11 years old. I'm actually home from work today because one of them ,Tim, has diabetes and is going to the vet today for his all day 'curve' testing. He is almost 40lbs...he's huge.

Here is a shot of Tim when he was at a skinny point in his life

How did it go at the vet with Tim, Trip?

Cool cat, DeeperRed.

If you'd had tried to dress my cat up, who now lives with my old man, he would have scratched you BADLY.

How did it go at the vet with Tim, Trip?

Tim thanks you for asking. It was a good thing I got him there. He gets insulin twice a day because his blood sugar is super high. He just wasn't acting normal over the past few days(thats why I took him). It turns out his blood sugar was super low - like almost comma low - only a few points away from serious danger.

If he didn't go to the vet we would have been giving him his regular dosage of insulin and most likely we would have been responsible for putting him in a comma. Kind of a close call. I'm lucky I have a great vet, and also lucky that the vet is close to my house.

Got another rescue dog today, I'm told it's a pure Cane Corso. Quite an impressive dog, very large head. However it's extremely thin and looks neglected. It's well behaved though and friendly. I'll post pictures soon.

Both rescue dogs, the male on the right is the new, very under weight one. soon we should see a big improvement in him. Female on the left is a pure Cane Corso, we are told the male on the right is also.

Here's our cat, Willard McJimbers. Actually that isn't his name but that's the name I voted for in our Cat Naming Elections.

His name is Dovahkiin. Yes, Dovahkiin. Talk about Skyrim fanatics. My brother suggested it and until now my dad thinks its actually some magical name of some magical god in some ancient, extinct religion.

We adopted him a few weeks before heading to London and currently resides with my Grandpops. His eyes scare the living bajeezus out of me.

Cool eyes.

Yellow outside and green inner area.

I don't think I've seen that before, or is it just the lighting?

Anyway, I've got a black german shepherd and it has a white chest. Oh yeah, it's also got huge ears.

Nothing too interesting.

Never had a pet, after 17 years I have no plan on getting one. Don't get me wrong, I love dogs. I'm a full on dog person. I love playing with them and etc. but I can't imagine having a dog, taking care of it, picking up its sh*t and etc. Maybe when I have my own family I will get a dog or something but it's just not my thing.

@Cosmic Gypsy, dude...they look great. Good going on the rescue stuff. It looks like he found a good home with the bonus of having another of his kind there. Very cool. Is there actually a Cane Corso rescue agency, or did you just happen to get them from a standard shelter?

@blitz - That is one tiny cat. hahahaha...we grow ours big here.

Don't worry about the name. I haven't met one pet owner that calls their animals by their given names.

Here are some examples from my house:

-Monster Mash = Muntz, Muntzy Van Poptart, Poptart. He pretty much is just Muntz.

-Tim = T-Bisket, Bisket, Mr. T, T, Tiny Tim(he's fat). He pretty much is just T

-Pip = Ya know what? I think he might be one of the only pets I have that keeps his given name.

I'm not even going to get into the names the new dogs have taken. RayRay has like a billion names now.

My all time favorite alternate name for a dog has to be for my [long gone] dog, Oliver. He was never called Oliver or Ollie, his name for all of his life was Gurb. My all time favorite alternate name for a cat has to be for my [long gone] cat Lance. He went through life with the name Pants. Actually, come to think of it his sister ,Wanda, might have had a better alternate name - she went by Skadabooch or just Booch.

And since I'm rambling about pet names...our biggest koi is named Mittens.

edit:

@fgcarva1 - be careful. I've seen people in your situation before, and usually when they do get a pet they go over the top since they realize the wackiness and happiness pets bring.

He's a few months old, we found him by my grandpa's pool around some bushes, he was pretty roughed up. Had a couple of scars and was dirty as hell. He was curled together with his sister, who my cousin kept. We nurtured him back to health and although skinny, the little guy eats like a madman. It's crazy, my mom's always complaining about his food running out, after he eats, he goes out and hunts birds. I'm so glad I have no fish, our last cat brought me plenty of dead fish.

Such weird creatures.

As for the name, it's bene re-adjusted to Willy, or Willard. Seriously. I thought his name was Dovahkiin, and now they want to go back to Willard McJimbers?

Crazy ass family I got.

***FLOOD WARNING***

This is Boots(one of about 1000 names he goes by). He is 100% feral born and lives the life of a city feral cat(with some pampering). I have had him neutered and under regular vet care. He is ultra friendly(loves the dogs, other animals and humans), and he just may have found a home. I'll miss him in a way. He's a good cat.
