OK, this will definitely be released for PC. If a game costs that much the only way they can make profit out of it is by releasing it to as many platforms as they can.

I hope we get a mission based on the Fatty Arbuckle case. An obese celebrity rapist/murderer would be pretty memorable.

I really despise how the PC gets the shaft when it's always the superior platform.

No one is debating that. But it's no secret that games don't sell as well on the PC even when they're released simultaneously. Take MW2 for example:

Fallout 3:

55%--Xbox 360

28%--PS3

17%--PC

Don't get me wrong, it sucks that developers are screwing over PC gamers like this but you can't ignore the facts. PC development just doesn't pay off nearly as much as console development. Not to mention that most PC games are cracked and put on torrent sites within days of release (sometimes earlier).

are those just retail sales.

From CVG :

LA Noire's face animation tech "blew me away," boldly says CVG E3 agent, Tim Clark.

Reporting on his behind closed doors encounter with LA Noire's face capture gubbins, the OPM editor-in-chief referred to impressive 1:1 lip sync, incredibly detailed character skin and real emotion in characters' eyes. Apparently it's amazing.

"The tech blew me away," said Clark. "Within seconds of watching it, every other cut scene I've seen before seems utterly clownish.

"The level of fidelity, not just in terms of detail, but the way the actors are able to convincingly evoke emotions, and suggest motivations that are often at odds with what they're saying, was just incredible. I can't wait to see more of LA Noire of the back of this."

LA Noire's set in Los Angeles in 1947 and has you playing as beat cop Cole Phelps, who's out to clean up the streets of the crime-filled city.

It's a bit Heavy Rain meets Mafia; as well as the regular sandbox stuff you'll also go about solving cases through a mixture of investigation, interviews and interrogations.

So , Rockstar was hiding from us that_guy2057_evilgrin.gif

and why are they leaving this supposedly 100M to develope game to a dev team that made the getaway...

Haha. I couldn't stand the Getaway, but this game looks like it's shaping up really well.

I thought the first Getaway was amazing, have to admit that they did amazing job on London and the graphics were pretty good. Black Monday was total balls though I have to admit.

Not to mention that Team Bondi is only founded by a guy who helped develop The Getaway.

There's a little secret at the E3 that we didn't notice. Check it out: http://www.gamepro.com/article/news/215667...ng-i-saw-at-e3/

MotionScan?

Yea, a friend mentioned this to me over the weekend supposed to be a pretty big deal for this game to come out using this new tech.

But where the f*ck is this game all ready? They've been talking about it forever.

I wouldn't say this "slipped past us", since it is one of the trademarks of the third wave, perhaps, of information about the game. It slipped past us because the whole game is slipping past us with such a long development time.

I'm glad that the developer really taking care of this character's animation, it sounds very perfect. But I'm afraid if they forget the elements of gameplay. Well I hope not, I hope Team Bondi & R* will make this game great in every aspect. Just like another R*'s products.

The fact that the system captures a full performance means that hair, makeup, and even prosthetics can be captured. During my time with Bao and McNamara, they showed me one character that was covered in cuts bruises that had been applied by a professional makeup artist, and it was far more striking than anything that could have been added in post-production because they moved realistically with the character’s skin.

Wow, not that sounds impressive.

As a realism whore, I wholeheartedly approve of this MotionScan.

I've been anticipating this one a while now even though I'm not so sure what genre it is, does it have free roam and combat?

If not I'm still excited for it.

This looks like it's going to be an awesome game. I'm quite happy that it's going to be on the 360, because I didn't plan on ever buying a PS3, lol. I hope that you can pick your partner and use different weapons. Either way, this game should be good! Hopefully it's not one of those games like Alan Wake that you wait for for years and then get dissapointed..that would be a big waste of time. sneaky2.gif

A website E-mailed Rockstar regarding the delay . The answer was :

" There is no publicly announced release date for L.A. Noire "

From Here

Anyway , It's going to be delayed sooner or later . The date that was given by difference sources , is September 2010 . We are now in the beginning of July , so , there's no enough time to market the game so that it can get lots of attention . In another subject , the logo of the game has been added to Rockstar Social club , which means that the game will support its own social club features .

I am wondering if the game will support multiplayer or won't . If it's going to support it , I would look forward to unique modes that are suitable for the gameplay concept of the game . What about two players cooperate together in order to solve cases of murder ?

From Connected Consoles :

Rockstar Games' upcoming titles have gone astray in recent months, with the further delay of Max Payne 3 and the announcement that the company would not be attending the E3 conference, held last month.

However, we've have been in touch with Rockstar, who said that updates on their upcoming title LA Noire will emerge soon, but have no updates regarding the development of Max Payne 3 and the PS3 exclusive, Agent.

"I’m afraid there’s nothing to report on Agent and Max Payne 3 currently", said Phil Doust, International PR Manager at Rockstar, in an email to Connected Consoles, "however there will be further updates to follow on LA Noire in the coming weeks."

LA Noire is currently in development at Team Bondi, being published by Rockstar, and expected to release sometime this year. Max Payne 3 was originally slated for a winter 2009 release, but has now been pushed back to sometime in 2011, whilst PlayStation 3 exclusive Agent has barely been seen since its E3 2009 unveiling.

Finally some refreshing news from Rockstar . It's the time for L.A Noire to dominate the field of gaming .

I am almost sure that it's going to be used since the engine has been licensed for Rockstar , which means that they can use it in any future project from their publish . I even think that the main engine of the game is RAGE , which Euphoria takes a role in it as an animation middleware .
