So, anyone know, will the vehicles be named and modelled as exact replications, or will it be like GTA where they have parody names and are amalgamations of 2 or 3 designs to get around copyright?

You'd think it'd be easier or perhaps even free to use the real names from the late 40s. I don't know how that kind of copyright works but maybe.

I.. fell to the temptation. Not much to see though because it's the beginning part, and the beginning of almost every game is a bit slow and not much to see other than describing controls and so on.

 

Music / vibrations help you find clues as you get closer to them. According to the comments, you can remove that feature and make the game even more difficult. That should be interesting..

 

And with that, I'm out of this thread until next Tuesday. Don't want to get risked getting spoiled like I did with quite a few games already. Adios!

Yeah, but it is based on the same period as Mafia II, which was one of the most boring eras ever. The music is crap, the cars are rubbish and slow and don't even mentioned about the weapons. I'll give this game a miss, thank you. Furthermore, critics nowadays give full marks to any crap being released anyway because they are "bought" by the developers. Just look at IV for example, it did not deserve the score of 10/10 the so-called "critics" has given and I believe a lot of forum members agree with me. So I am skeptical about the "score" given for LAN.

Well I for one prefer the early-twentieth century era. The cars of the era look infinitely sexier than the sh*t produced nowadays and I'd take jazz and swing music over rap anyday of the week. I also love how men wore suits and hats, super f*cking classy.

Well I'm glad you children stick to your childish games, especially if you're going to judge two games without even playing them. First one because it's set in an era same as Mafia II, and the second one because... uhh... why is GTA V going to be crap again? Oh right, because GTA IV was, makes sense to me!
