SeraphimSoldier 22
Actually, it is. Lol, you'd really think 360 could run MGS4?
Seddo 19
I don't really think it's the consoles power that's the problem, it's due to the limited space on the DVD, i'm sure they could compress the data a bit more and bang it on 4 discs just like MGS1 on the PS1? oc student 1
Actually, it is. Lol, you'd really think 360 could run MGS4? Yeah why not? The Xbox GPU is actually better than the PS3's. It's not like MSG4 is Crysis..................

No they are both roughly the same, with the Cell being harder but more flexible to program, giving it a small advantage. two words for you: Blue ray Naughty Dog co-president Christophe Balestra believes the technical demands of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves make the game "impossible" to recreate, like-for-like, on Xbox 360. "I guarantee that this game couldn't be working on Xbox 360. It would be impossible. I'm 100 per cent sure of this," http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/uncharte...ble-on-xbox-360 Edited January 27, 2010 by simonp92
Seddo 19
"It's the combination of Blu-ray and hard drive" So it's not about the 360 being able to run it and more to do with again the limited size of the DVD disc and the possibility of not all 360 owners having a HDD. If it's filling up all 25GB of the disc then i doubt any of the files of been compressed, besides Uncharted 2 had been built from the ground up to run on the PS3 so they're right it will be impossible to run on the 360. I'm no tech wizard but if the game had been built to work on the 360 and the files got compressed down and again multiple discs were used then surely the 360 would be able to run it? Although the only way we'll ever know if ND actually port it which isn't ever going to happen as ND is Sony Owned. Epic could come out and say Gears of War will never work on the PS3 but that's only because the game hasn't been built to work on the PS3.
mortalhuman 0
You guys need to watch all the latest news... It is finally coming out in the press that PS3 will last longer. The other consoles were not better, the money just wasn't there to fund ambitious projects on the PS3, nor was there yet the skill. Rockstar employees are on record talking about how 360 is holding back the PS3 version of RDR. No surprise, the same thing was said about GTA IV. Michael Pachter and more have lately been talking about how this year is the year the PS3 will show its true colors. Nothing it does will ever be better (nor as high resolution and good as) than the ports you get of the same games on PC, though. Remember: Just because the PS3 can do it does NOT mean the developer can afford to do it AND not support the other platforms at the same time - it's a catch 22 - The PS3 is the strongest gaming console, but by the time it is used, the PC is already capable of each level it makes it and make NO MISTAKE 360 is FAR from tapped. It is a powerful machine and console fanboyism looks stupid to real gamers PC gamers and people who know why it was all done the way it was (they want you to fight over the consoles event though they know it's a catch 22 JUST so that you don't notice they are using them to kill PC and move facebook tards back to the TV - it is a conspiracy, born in 1998 or prior when bill gates said his console, should he enter the market, will replace the home desktop computer - they are like alex jones and other people who make me look bad) It is basically impossible to afford making a game on it that utilizes that without doing it for other platforms too - it is too expensive for such a game AND to leave out 2/3 of the gaming market. Yes, RDR is held back by becoming non-exclusive to PS3, but the people who said that are artists and programmers - NOT budget handling employees and brand longevity specialists who would argue that the 360 games are the backbone of this industry currently and they are what is making the development possible in the first place. Anyway, here is an interesting twitter storm - someone is letting the cat out of the bag on team bondi, sony, and Rockstar! http://twitter.com/veracious_sh*t You may need to fix the sh*t. JOSEPH X 132
I said earlier that the amazing `new` technology used in this game may be motion sensors, but I think it could be this
mortalhuman 0
The new technologies are proprietary to Rockstar which is very exciting. Read the twitter I just posted above, it's worth it! It has a lot of dirt, someone is speaking out of line on it, and explains how it came about! That link again is (read from BOTTOM UP if you are new to twitter - you need to reveal all tweets before starting): http://twitter.com/veracious_sh*t (fix the "sh*t") Edited January 28, 2010 by mortalhuman
Typhus 1,431
I hope this game has numerous crimes to solve and not just one big plot. Imagine having downloadable crimes you could unravel. A detective simulation would be brilliant. Not much shooting or action, but plenty or searching and deliberation.
mortalhuman 0
Damn, you're right. Man, GTA shoulda had downloadable mission strings
BLlTZ 107
I've seen that mini-video on Discovery on that Tv-series, Sience of The Movies. Impressive Technology.
Canoxa 369
Wait... I remember LA Noire was supposed to be one of the defining launch titles for the PS3, like MGS, Resistence or Motorstorm. You're telling me it was supposed to be the defining launch title of the... PS2? Let's just hope McNamara doesn't run out of gum.
Old_BenKenobi 35
This thread is very interesting. I am curious as to what the final game will be like.
Yokelsson 6,542
So all that Microsoft has to do is release a 360 with BluRay maybe?
Seddo 19
So all that Microsoft has to do is release a 360 with BluRay maybe? I think that might be a while off yet. I read somewhere during a bit of an interview about Natal and it got mentioned that the 360 hasn't even done half it's life cycle yet, dunno how true it is. Although there have been rumours of a BluRay add-on but a Microsoft employee said they had no plans.
Canoxa 369
Don't you guys have an external player? Sure, it's a bitch to fork out and most won't buy it, but still.

Dnero 5,256
New Look On Gamepro Whoops, my fault... I meant Game Informer. Thx batik (I was sleepy that time )
JOSEPH X 132
Looks like they`ve added a bit more to the colour palate, which was suffering from the browns in the trailer. Article should get tongues wagging. What`s everyone`s favourite film noire? Mine`s "Double Indemnity" "It was a hot afternoon, and I can still remember the smell of honeysuckle all along that street. How could I have known that murder can sometimes smell like honeysuckle?" Barbara Stanwick is so HAWT in that film that I`d murder anyone for her myself.
Sunrise Driver 2,071
So these bitches aren't going to make a PC version? Is it so hard to them? Either do it for the PC too or make exclusively to the PS3. NOBODY needs laggy crappy 360 version.
Marco_GTA 1
It supposed to be confirmed for xbox 360 now according to this website. Well isn't that just swell, but no info about pc version.
Typhus 1,431
I think that this game could generate positive publicity for Rockstar. Portraying cops in a good light, following the rules and catching the criminals. It could really help their image in the media.
Canoxa 369
Man, and I thought the trailer was impressive. But I nearly disagree with Joseph. The sepia tones look good. Maybe they'll feature in the game, in special cutscenes.
BLlTZ 107
So this is L.A. Noire. Cool The developers need it to show some news about the game.
FullMetal 505
Looks really awesome, yet again a console (in this case, MINDBLOWING PS3 exclusive?!). Goddamnit Rockstar, PC gamers also want Red Dead Redemption and L.A. Noire!
lh1 234
Red Dead Redemption and L.A. Noire will get PC versions if the console versions are successful. This includes Agent too. Edited February 6, 2010 by lh1
