You can also create that type of font using one of the basic fonts.

Add a border (the bigger, the more rounder it is)

Select rectangular marquee tool and make the edges squared.

Just posting this from my other topic:

 

Hey there, I know Vice City uses the fonts called Pricedown and Rage Italic, but there's a third font that I can't seem to find. It's the one that is used for screen messages and cutscene subtitles.

 

Does anyone know what the name of that font is and where I can download it? This is required for a mod I'm currently working on, so I really need it. Thanks in advance.

Actually, most of the letters did match, just 5 or 6 didn't. But hey, thanks for the link, that may be useful.

 

As for the Geneva font, it doesn't seem to be exactly the one Rockstar used, but the shape is similar (I found a variation of it on that site you posted, it's probably the one).

 

EDIT: Nope, still not quite the one. But it's similar, so it will be a good placeholder.

They also used a slightly modified version of Elephant for the hotels and different buildings.

Example (I typed this is word using pink as the color and Elephant as the font)

L.A Noire uses some simple font, the neon was created after, as a texture.

Not quite, it may be a custom font only used in the game, if I can pull the bmp of the font from the game, and convert to vectors would someone be able to package it into a font?
