Can anyone tell me what this font from GTA3 is called?

 

 

It looks like it's Arial Black, bold, Italics, but still seems to be somewhat compressed.

Definitely in the Arial family and possibly it is Airal Black. It's just been compressed which is fairly easy to do in most programs by tweaking the text.

I have something close but it´s not same, Umbra BT.

That shadow effect seems custom.

Thanks! How do I go about transforming fonts and adding skew? What programs do I need or can I do that with Word as well?

simple manipulation programs can allow you to transform fonts. GIMP (free program), Photoshop, etc. I would suggest getting GIMP and playing around with some text. We also have a tutorial archive in this section for the programs. You can google up some simple text tutorials throughout the web as well.

Thanks but Signpainter is very different to this font. The closest I can find is Ford script but it's not the same

Like I said, it's more than likely a custom font that was created for Rockstar or by Rockstar. Much like their Social Club font, it's custom as well.

Courier10 works well for that, it´s thicker than Courier New.

There are many typewriter fonts in dafont, but only few with the slab like in big A.

I have some rounded slab serif fonts but can´t access them now. Will look later.
