Best way to replicate that & font? Gonna be covering the text and adding my own later on.

Best would be use Interstate compressed regular or bold. Interstate has been used widely in US by Federal Highway Administration. I believe they have changed the font recently though.

Intestate is shareware, if You don´t own it You could use a rip-off called blue highway condensed. Not as good but should work.

Hey guys, I'm looking for the font for these two pictures. They are textures from GTA:SA (have been modified, of course)

methodunderg, I could bet those are not fonts but custom designs. Even the Ballas one.

But if something close would be enough, take your time and scroll through graffiti section in dafont.com

I've got the font for that @ home somewhere, after I helped a mate do a high-res version of it.

The texture is actually in the particle.txd or effectPC.txd; I believe its actually called 'roadsignfont' and the text on the signs is defined from the 2DFX in the model (the 2DFX for the model is actually attached to the road it sits on, believe it or not)

 

If you want a higher quality texture for the road signs, its in my ENB Newbies Pack which you can find in the III|VC|SA ENB Screenshots thread on the first page, and in the first post.

College is close, but this is even closer. If You take a look at the edges they are round in P, C and O, where college is sharp cornered.

 

CityD Medium. Dispatch Bold is almost same, bit rounder.

I think those license plate fonts are custom, but You can find quite good remakes or alternatives.

NJ license plates wikipedia mentions only "plain block font".

Which leads you to:

Highschool

and Jersey M54 font, it has alternative 2, just like in the plate. The font is bit thicker, but if You want it to look like in the Garden State plates it can be achieved with an inner bevel/emboss.

Tighten them isn't a problem as can be seen, for some text combinations I'd just have to combine both fonts tho :)

No You don't, use the alternative #2 button with M54 and You get a match. It's mapped to { key

The only similar font I could find is Guthschmidt Condensed, the L, C, I and P seem the same, the P possibly being a bit stretched at the top (to fit the gap between it) but the O and E seem to be different, so it may be a mixed or edited font.

Hey dude. They look like they could have been made for the specific design. Although the last one, seems stock. Second one has been messed around w. In illustrator with the pen tool, and on second glance the font looks like a paid font. But it's a hard call on second all I know it's been manipulated to be that style :)
