Air/Ground War III

Updated the whole front page and fixed any typos and such. PS3 and Xbox sides are open for new people to join in. Added Strategies for the pilots. Fixed the awards so some of them is a little harder to get than before.

 

Any new GFX to this event would be much appreciated as for the others are a bit outdated and we need something new (no offense Christopher and Booze! )

 

NickRad, if it doesn't bother you could you make an account specially for this event? That would be way more practical. And if someone has been in here before and wants to join again then just re-post your Gamertag and time zone and I will add you to the roster again!

Hell yeah. I'd love to get the PS3 side up again. However, I'm getting so good with the Buzzard that I probably lost all the skill I was gaining with the Annihilator. I also haven't played Battlefield 1943 for a while also. For all I know, I probably made many people cry in Air Superiority in Battlefield 1943. Also, johnwontscore didn't post the footage from the last A/G War (was him, me, and Owl), but I've heard he's been having a rough time recently (or something like that).

 

I'm hoping we can get atleast another one of these before Mafia 2 comes out later this month. Also, I'm looking forward very much for Fallout: New Vegas. I also got platinum on Red Dead Redemption, but now I'm working on Fallout 3 again along with going into TBOGT FM.

 

Rambling aside, this would be great for PSN as it seems 16VS.LCPD looks like it has more potential for XBL right now. While I wasn't a great fighter with the Annihilator, I was actually very good with the flying part I believe.

We don't quite know yet. There seems to be no 360 interest at all so that won't be for a long time. We have 4 people that are willing to join the PS3 side (nice commercial btw Nemonic) and we will probably need more than that to have a full good proper game. Lets wait a little bit more until maybe there is 6-8 people. I know that it's not very long until Mafia II comes so we'll see if we get a game before that.

I could help getting pilots in the game that r my friends but the game might be to challenging cause we kill ground ppl quick

Don't be so sure on that, because of most of the gt's I've met is pretty beast and can take down a chopper or two. But do it that would help as long as it's not too many pilots because we need troops as well

Actually, the convenient thing about pilots is they can play on either team, so if it were up to me, I'd say get as many people in here, pilot or not.

No you don't need EFLC and it would be nice to have a mic but it's OK you don't need to as long as you come in this topic every now and then, follow rules and be a good feller I will add you to the roster together with everyone else when I have time.

Fixed on the front page, added PSN participant list and updated the Xbox one. If we get some more we could restart the PS3 side at least. The 360 side on the other hand is looking dark..

On Saturday, I'll be home from work approximately 11:30 pm BST (= 10:30 pm GMT), so we'd have to do it after that time.

On Sunday, I have to go to work at 10:30 pm BST (=9:30 pm GMT) so we'd have to do it before that time, if we're gonna do this on Sunday instead...

 

WDeMeaun, it's true that there aren't as many PC players interested in these events as there are console players, unfortunately.

So what is the pilot/GT ratio? How many GTs are there usually per pilot? I think with seven people right now there would be two pilots. If there is three pilots, then one would probably be a taxi and/or the person who records the event.

 

@Booze: Yeah, Sunday seems ok. However, we'll need input from other participants also. There may be some people that are gone somewhere or at work during when you're not working on Sunday. I would think something between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM GMT on Sunday.

I've added some more names to the list. We have 13 people on the ps3 side now! Only need three more for a full house.

 

As for times I was thing about having it on the old time of 7pm BST (6pm GMT) on saturday. But from 12pm BST (11am GMT) onwards on a saturday is good for me. Sunday only 12pm to 4pm GMT is good for me.

@The Owl: Out of the times you listed the only one I would be able to attend for sure is 6 PM GMT on Saturday (I live in Central time which is -6:00 GMT). On Sunday I may or may not be awake be 3 PM GMT.
