Sorry to hear, Booze! Your input kept this Event alive for an extra 1/2 year or so when it would have died away.

 

I think it may be that this Event has run its course. With all the new (very cool) games coming out, there is just too many options for players to get a full room for A/G anymore.

 

I haven't fired a single shot in IV this year (and am in Andy's DM tourny...uh oh...lol)!

 

If it wasn't for Doc's Racing LB, I wouldn't have put GTA in my machine this year!

 

Anyway, I hope that the folks that still wanna play this can work it out. If not, a 20 month run is a pretty damn good one for any Event here.

 

It has been fun and I will be back to try EoLC A/G if it is still being held when it comes out.

Also I have a question: I've seen some YouTube videos where I could here players' voices. That means that you can route people's voices over the TV speakers, like on Xbox. How do I do this?

Have you got a PS3 Booze? I didn`t know. To get sound chat coming through the speakers go to "Settings", "Accessory Settings", "Audio Device Settings" and select "Output Device" - change the output device to "System Default Device". That should do it.

Yup, got it for just over a week now. Thanks for the tip, I think that's what GTA King was talking about but I couldn't hear him properly

Settings> Accessory settings> Auido Device Settings> Output device> System default device.

 

Keep in mind if your TV is too loud or your mic is too sensitive this will create a echo for the other players. Which can be annoying.

F*ckers. I told you I couldn't play properly while recording. The SD turns me into a short-sighted animal with very poor night vision and weak spacial awareness. So yeah, thanks for nightime, fog industrial etc. B*stards!

 

I've got everything recorded anyway, so I'll edit it to take out the boring driving bits and post the John-gets-shot video some time in the week. I'm sure you guys will find it amusing.

 

Those games were a bit unusual, but good fun. With a few more players next time we could have a really good match. If we get as many pilots and a full room, maybe next time we could try a turf war?

 

Booze: thanks for clarifying that point about the pendulum manoeuvre in the multiplayer section. Looking at the game videos, we collided twice. On both occasions it was my fault. Once I tried to fly underneath you and clipped you, the other time I thought you weren't even over the target yet.

I know this is a double post, but I need to know if that Broker Rats video above can be seen in the US or not. I was going to delete it and post a version without the music at the start, as the radio in the copter seems to have made Youtube think it's breaking copyright, but I've just looked at it again and seen a few views on it as if people have taken a look. So can you see it or not? I don't want to upload it again if I don't have to as it takes ages.

Glad you like the videos guys. I'm thinking of getting one of those haupage recorders because they never seem to have the Blitzbox HD in stock at Lime and I'm fed up of trying to play in SD when I want to record. Does anyone know if the haupage causes controller lag? No good if it does.

 

It was very good to have you in the game Booze. I hope you can make it again. As I said, those crashes were my fault, but crashes look good on these videos anyway. That final crash in industrial was funny as hell.

 

That was a very nice headshot you got me with in industrial King. I thought it was a turbo at first because I died instantly, without any build up of damage, but I realised it was just that I wasn't using armour. So sorry for saying that. Good shooting. You must love me now anyway since I keep making you look good in these videos.

Yeah I'm thinking about getting an Hauppauge too. I've heard bad things about the quality of the Blitzbox and with the Hauppaugge your videos will be mint. Plus you can hook it up to a laptop and (I assume) record directly to an external HDD, which is a big plus for me (and can't be achieved with the Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro). I know someone who has it and I never heard him complain about controller/image lag.

 

Now I look at that kill of GTAKing, I can see why you thought he had a turbo. The thing is though, you can recognize a turbo by your health being depleted with big chunks that don't resemble the amount a headshot would do. So they're either smaller or bigger chunks than a headshot (easiest to see with armor on). In your video, your health is gone immediately, which suggests a headshot plus another shot right after it. This is possible to achieve with or without a turbo by pulling the trigger really fast.

 

I'm glad you found the crash funny, I was feeling rather guilty because you had just given me a lift to a helicopter

Zelos, it looks like there won't be any Xbox Air/Ground Wars any time soon. I've decided to step down as host, due to my new job and I've yet to find a replacement. There is someone on Xbox Live who's interested, but he still has to sign up to the forums (and I don't know if he feels like taking over the topic management).

Haha yup, Blaze-T. Blaze T was already taken on XBL, so I made up Booze T and now I'm just too used to it. It also has this "I don't take myself too seriously"-ness over it, which I prefer. It's also to avoid confusion.

It also gives the basics and joining step for this game and i like the most part is gun which can put

as our signature.Its great game with good graphics and amazing steps of game.

Booze: I'd be happy with a Blitzbox. I don't really care about the quality of the finished video. What I'm producing right now is good enough to watch imo. The problem is the SD image quality on my TV is just not good enough to play properly at all and I'd fed up of waiting for the Blitzbox to come back into stock at the only place I can find that sells it. So it looks like I'll be ordering a Hauppage. I'll also have to get a better laptop as I'm using the wife's old one right now and I don't think it'll be up to the job. The really big problem though is that she may just notice the new laptop and strange black box next to the TV; at which point she'll go to the kitchen to get a knife to cut my balls off with I suppose.
