Makes very little sense to me though. I can shoot almost perfectly with the pistol/deagle from a chopper, but I can't shoot with either to save my life on the ground. Very odd!

Just wanted to let you guys know that as long as you adjusted your clocks correctly, the matches will be held at the same time as before.

Dorian, no idea who was shooting at me, but at the end of the Colony match I was flying pretty close to the action trying to get the best view possible. Prison, we had 50 seconds left with no time to get more choppers so we flew back on the ultimate suicide mission. Hilarity at how poorly matched a Maverick is against a pile of angry GT's armed to the teeth

But seriously, nothing can be said yet about possible A/G on BOGT. We just don't know enough yet about the vehicles and weapons.

Although pilots bailing out, parachuting down and then getting sniped while still in the air does seem like an appealing image

Alright. I f*cked up again.

 

I thought that ALL time changes around the world happened on the same night! I still don't see how it works since this is (obviously) not the case. It must drive world travelers batty!!!

 

Anyway, I did not know that the time had changed in Britain (and other places apperently...doesn't change here til this coming weekend), so the time I posted for UK was wrong.

 

I was there at 2pm my time and were only 5 ppl on and 3 playing GTA. So I wnt and played BF43 (almost at 4,000 kills... ).

 

I saw john on later and he explained what happened and that quite a few were on at the actual time I posted. My apologies for this, but aint a world traveler so how was I to know???

 

Even so, we have been having trbl getting enough ppl, so am now requiring sign-up for Sunday Trial Matches.

I am changing the way I put together the Sunday Trial Matches by requiring participants to sign up for it. There just hasn't been enough ppl to play proper matches for the past 3 weeks or so.

 

Following is the Participant List. If the first ten spots do not get filled up (w/at least two Pilots), there will be no match.

Same here, only the other way around.

Didn't cause much trouble on the Xbox side though, happily.

I understand what you guys mean now by laggy pilots! Damn, that must be REALLY frustrating, I saw some RPG's that were dead on and then the pilot just teleports...

I don't think that's ever been a problem on Xbox...

All I'm saying is, I am GREATLY underestimating how many pilots I've extracted in the midst of the action. I just don't want it to be too easy I guess.

 

On another note, Prison seems to be a decent spot to have passengers in the choppers with grenades.

Hope to see a video of Air vs. Ground war with all the new stuff from GTA: The Ballad Of Gay Tony. Also, Buzzard vs. Annihilator dog fight or Buzzard vs. Buzzard dog fight. Not sure if the Annihilator will be the same kind from GTA: The Lost And Damned though.

There's a vid with freemode gameplay footage of BOGT (on IGN) that shows the buzzard in action. The rockets are quite fast and helicopter itself is nimble. It'd certainly be interesting to see the different choppers go up against each other, although I certainly hope not that the Annihilator is the one from TLAD. Unlike rockets, those exploding rounds can't be dodged and they fire much faster as well... Then again, maybe the Annihilator isn't in multiplayer at all

Are you kidding me? On top of what we already have (rocket launchers, etc...) we'll have the AA12 with explosive rounds, the Advanced MG that fires 900 rounds per minute and let's not forget, STICKY BOMBS, to add to our already deadly pilot annihilating arsenal. Buzzard and all, I think things will be kept pretty even

Yes I saw the video already but for the Air vs. Ground, I hope to see at least one video even if it will become too easy for the pilots but I want to see how those new weapons will perform against Annihilator and Buzzard pilots.

There's another thing... Will there even be outdoor locations? Actually, that might not be such a big problem. If there's only indoor locations, that means the GT's have a safe place to arm up and the pilots only have their one buzzard, with parachute. Maybe that will help even things out?
