I'm close but if AG war is going to be played at usual times I'll never get to that. Unfortunately my wednesday availability it's finished...

Btw my kills are all included and not so pure like Jude's ones...

Even though the majority were RPG and M4 direct kills.

@DJ: Cool, man! Congrats! I believe that you three are the only ones to earn it so far...although I think that Big Tony has to be close (which is ippressive considering he is a relatively new member to the Elte Ground Squad), and The Owl MUST be close...just not sure he is counting. I am sure there are others that are close as well.

 

I also would have it if I counted every kill the game gave me credit for...I only include kills where I actually shot out the Pilot (sniper, M4, SMG) or blew up the heli w/Pilot while its still in the air (RPG, grenade) and not combined with other GTs RPGs. I also include these type of kills from ALL matches (Elite, Trial & Wed. nites). Under these circumstances, I am currently at 11 kills (had been stuck at 9 for two months at least).

 

I am going to create a SIGs album at PhotoBucket (when I get a chance) with all the components you see in everyone's A/G SIGs so that folks can put them together the way they want to. I just don't have the time to create custom SIGs anymore.

 

The 30 kills medal is the most prestigous you can get for A/G, so would love to see the three who earned it using it (up to you all, of course).

 

@Doc: I wish I could start the Wed. matches earlier, but I cannot get home from work in time to do it any earlier, and the point of those matches to start with was for later night worriors...sorry, dude.

Any Xbox'ers kept track of their kills? I still have all the end of game score screens, but you can't tell how many kills are direct and how many are indirect or ground/ground. If people like, I could add them all up and just divide them by 2, as I think the average rate of direct/indirect kills is 50/50. Unless someone has a better idea?

I have only kept track of my kills since 3 months ago and and only have 14 kills and I do count every kill from sniping them out of the chopper to RPGing there downed chopper.

 

I even keep track of how many times I die, only 5 times. I also note who I killed, with what weapon and the date I killed them.

I had to delete footage because my hdd was running out of space. I only kept the final score screens, so putting up the scores is certainly possible. I'll see what I can do

Nice top see everything back on track in here and for the record, I only get a few chances a month to post in here now and, as the original organizer, felt I should give my thoughts on the situation, even though it had been a few days since it had happened. As I said in my last post, it was good that it seemed resolved. No 'Baiting' was intended.

 

@King: Again, for the record, I mentioned that I thought that you had gotten the medal too when I announced SJs aquisition, but wasn't sure. I just knew SJs running count over the last few months, so was positive when he got his 30th!

 

Pilot Spawn Killing GTs: That was a problem for awhile, but as SJ said, blips far, sticking together and appropriate clothing (someone PLEASE remind me to change APMD's clothing away from the rainbow shirt! lol) make it a lot better. GTs sometimes DO get cought out by themselves, but tbh, some of the most epic moments in out matches is when someone calls out over the mic for an extraction!

I never wrote mine down, I just kept a running tab at the start and end of every game. Of course towards the end I was just announcing it over and over to the other players, but you know, these things get me excited, especially reflecting on the first times I got pwn3d at the Airport in FM or how poorly the GT's did our first few games.

Well I know I had 5 kills in star junction this week alone although 2 were from crashed heli's !!

 

I'm not over hyped about medals but a kill/death list would be pretty interesting reading I could use it to promote and demote troops incase I had missed the match or just missed their kills whilst in battle.

 

Something tells me we will have a few ground troops in negative figures, possibly even myself as I do remember being killed alot in one of the early Airport rounds.

I just came back from a weeks holiday in Tunisia today, so I might be there for the A/G war tonight

If not it's because I had to go up at 2 am this morning and I only slept for about 1 hour on the plane back home to Sweden, so really not much sleep for me today..

NittyDon, hard to say. It seems the people who get killed a lot end up getting bitched at and don't return. The old timers have all learned how to avoid the gunfire, find cover quickly and minimize the deaths.

 

Still, if I've shot down 30+ choppers, I feel like I must have died twice as much. I used to die a LOT until I got fascinated with the Ground Ghost medal.

 

I dunno, might be fun to keep stats like doc does for his events.

 

On the kills, it's a personal thing but I have to reiterate: I believe only legit kills should count. You shot at the guy you wanted to kill and you killed him. Even if you really wanted that kill and hit the chopper the last time and got credit, if 8 guys are all setting the chopper on fire and yours is the last bullet to register, should that really count?

 

These, to me, are kills for the team.

Not really THAT obscure m8 xD, its in northern Africa close to Italy and does pretty well for an African country I believe.. I mean.. its not THAT poor, the place I visted was very rich with "ultra-nice houses" etc etc, but I also took a cab into the villages to see how they had it, and it was quite a contrast =/ It's not like the people who lived there were starving but they were pretty poor

 

Anyway thx for asking, I had a nice flight and first time in Africa for me was gr8 =).. only 4 continents left to visit (I love traveling).

We played yesterday a few games and I managed to get 3 rpg kills which means I'm getting better since the past few games, now it brings my rpg kills up to 5 and I'm looking forward to hopefully getting more on the weekend

Fighting pilots absolutely will make you good with the RPG.

 

I still hate when they go up and down in their orbit, makes it soooo goddamn frustrating when you miss them by literally inches and you KNOW they're smiling thinking "hah, close but no cigar".

 

EDIT: On an amusing note, just had a random TDM before with johnwontscore on my team. A couple guys with clan/pilot usernames spawned in. I put settings to Algonquin/Blips Far/Disallow/Powerful. So of course the heli comes and dude is talking a bit of smack. I pull out the RPG, dead pilot, him and his chopper buddy quit game.

SJ - Its so so satisfying when you hear the "ding" .. Nitty Don F*cked up random pilot hahahaha

 

The amount of players who now think they are bad ass pilots cos they can float around in a free mode with blips on and weapons "all" and spawn kill is unbelievable, I love it when they are put in a TDM with the same settings as A/G really seperates the men from the boys !!
