Sorry, had to bail early. Had to be off by 5:00 Eastern. 1st game was great (GT found some nice locations with spawns). 2nd game started good, but when/why did the pilots decide to start blading & griefing? The night seemed to slope downhill from there. Air/Sea still needs some work. (Maybe a prison spawn? Pilots can just pick each other up, but Pirates need to stay in the water, i dunno.) Decent trials...

There were about 8 of us, no pilots though, so we had a few epic games of Infantry v Cavalry (included the return of the death bus ) and then played a few TWs and TDMs.

 

Not to worry. Got my A/G fix on Wednesday anyway.

As Swooner said, the night started off great, but it became more and more apparent that it was a TRIAL match. There were some people there who definitely aren't going to be invited to the Elite Match tomorrow. I'm disappointed in Tonksi, he kind of screwed up the Air/Sea War by doing something completely different right from the start. And you know there's always people following him. No Tonks tomorrow

 

I noticed a lot of people getting pissed off and kicking each other. Please, this is a Trial match for a reason! Don't expect everyone to follow the rules to the letter. If people are really being disruptive then that means they simply won't make it to the Elite (real) match. The only thing you can do about it yourself is keep on playing by the rules. If you're gonna break them too, you're not making things better, you're making them worse.

 

Also, what was with the kicking of Xtromist, while we were still in the lobby? Again, this is a TRIAL match. I know the concept is fairly new to the Xbox side, but please, give people a chance. I know he was f*cking around in a game we played weeks ago, but he wasn't the only one, it was a "griefy" game to begin with. We're not gonna shun people from the Trial match for reasons like that.

 

A list of people who made it to the Elite Match will be posted shortly. Also possibly some people who will be temporarily banned from the Elite Match...

Well first off, we all know what Tonks is like. He thinks he's God's gift to Grand Theft Auto so he doesn't bother playing by other people's rules. Kick him completely I say. This isn't the first time he's messed about during Air/Sea. The little digs he has at people are beginning to annoy me too.

 

Big whoop, he can fly a chopper... so that means he talk down to people? The guys a dickhead, pure and simple. One day people will listen to me. I don't just talk crap.

 

As for the locations, Booze. Are we using the same locations tonight? They were most definitely the two best locations so far. The station in Bohan was perfect. There was enough cover and weapon spawns. The airport station was also a badass location with it's conveniently placed rocket launcher in the station itself with a very conveniently placed health pack at the bottom of the stairs with an M4 and armor just a short walk away.

I'm not on the pilots side for this so, yay, Airport Station! I gave up after like five minutes an just started driving a baggage handler round the carpark while singing the Benny Hill theme tune. And I agree with LeeLee, Tonks is a dick, and shouldn't even be allowed in, tbh. I know you're up for giving people chances, but Tonks has had about fifty second chances.

He's played well in A/G so far. A little blading incident, but that was towards the end of a round where the pilots clearly had already won. I agree though, he shouldn't have done that. As for Air/Sea, he really helped us by hosting the promo video on his channel. We got a lot of new applicants because of that and more people are looking at my channel where other Air/Ground vids are hosted. He also helped with the setup of the game, I asked him a lot for advice and even followed some of it

 

I'm just really surprised that after being so involved in the creating an promoting of the event, he would screw the thing up just like that. It wasn't just the blading of the Reefer, he had no intention whatsoever to get in a helicopter. Right at the start, he said to everyone: "Come on guys, let's get in Jetmaxes"

 

Well, as I said, no Tonks anymore in the Elite match(es), not sure yet about the Trials. I'll have a talk to him.

 

The locations were good, but I don't think that the weapon spawns are the same every time. Actually, I'm not sure :s We'll have to test it out

Ya, Bohan & the Airport park lot would be fun with the elite pilots and not a bunch of use running into each and driving around on baggage handlers (*cough cough* kinko)

Sounds fun. How'd that go, Jude? I couldn't even imagine how to make an A/G type game with vehicles. It would be violent & horrifying.

Wow. A lot happened during my mini-vacation! (for the record, I posted that I was not hosting this past weekend).

 

Tonksi must have a split personality or something. He hasn't participated in a lot of PSN matches, but the ones he did, he was perfectly cool and followed the rules.

 

And, also for the record, anyone banned from one branch of these is automagically banned from ALL branches.

 

Also, there is a bit of a struggle going on on the PSN side. I will not go into it here until I know exactly what will happen, but its a possibility that there will be a major change. I sent out a message about it to the core folks through PSN. If you didn't get that message, let me know (on PSN...NOT here) and I will let you know what is going on.

 

As of now, I am back to hosting, so ALL PSN matches are on for this week (wed. Sat. & Sun.).

 

AND NO ONE IS GOING TO COMMENT ON ME GETTING A GRENADE KILL LAST WED.??? lol

Definately! The PSN side needs to catch up on locations with the 360 side. Sounds like they have found a bunch of good spots!

 

And to those who are new that posted inrterest, send a friend request to AllPilotsMustDie and show up on Sunday at 2pm Eastern US - 7pm UK time and you will be invited to the Trial Match!

 

I have also gone over the 50 friend limit, so I will have to delete a few ppl who have not participated in a while. If you get deleted and want to play, just post here or send me a message on PSN and I will re-add you.

Cool, so tomorrow, at the rollercoaster/themepark, then on the two story train station in Dukes.

 

I was also thinking the easy accesible rooftops in Northwood, or the Broker to Algonquin bridge over Colony island since we can have people down on the tracks aswell lol. AND last suggestion for now, the southern Algonquin constryction site, because loads of cover and the pilots have to be careful of the cranes for many reasons.
