Also, I offer my sincerest apologies to everyone participating in the Xbox side. There was a certain participant who I know played badly and pissed a lot of you guys off. In my quest for diplomacy I let him be maybe a bit too long. However, I just now found out that he lied to me and never signed up for this event. He hasn't even signed up on the forums. So consider this nuisance gone. If he contacts me and asks me to let him back in, I will let him play in the Trial Match, but there's no chance that you'll ever gonna see him in the Elite Match.

 

Again, I'm deeply sorry that I allowed this to happen.

Concerning the Trial and Elite matches for Xbox: I've decided to schedule them the other way around as opposed to the PS3 matches. So the Elite Match will be on Sunday, same time as it is now (7 pm GMT) and the Trial Match will be on Saturday, same time (7 pm GMT).

 

Together with the captains, I will make a list of people who are qualified for the Elite Match. Everybody's welcome in the Trial Match however, so invite whoever you want!

I should be there on Saturday for the trial match (although, possibly a tad hung-over ).

 

Everyone is most certainly welcome. Nitty, Booze, & myself will need to clear any Ground or Air forces for the Sunday game. We will need players to know who their captains are and when to keep the team chat to a minimum .

Yea, John...PSN Elite Match is on for Saturday. We haven't had enough for a Match in the last two weeks, so FYI: if there are not enough ppl on Saturday, I will be putting all weekend matches on hold for at least two weeks and maybe a month.

 

BTW, the Wednesday Night Matches are going pretty good! had 14 ppl in last night and had a blast!

Are you sure? Have you checked it? Anyway, what they did there is a guide for dummies anyway, they described for ALMOST EVERY router what exactly you need to do, step by step, with screenshots. Just imagine the amount of work... However, it's not (rocket)science, you should be able to figure out where to go if you go to your router setup. It's usually called Address Translation or NAT. Just go to one of the routers' guides to see which ports you need to forward (after setting up a static IP address on your Xbox).

 

This all goes for you too, Kinko, and everyone who's experiencing connection problems.

I don't know why you keep saying that; I don't have a livebox. I have a ZyXEL

The match will be held at the same time as the other matches, which is 7 pm GMT (8 pm British Summer Time)

 

Everybody's welcome, but if you want to be on the Elite List, you'll have to prove that you know how to play. So go over the general tactics and rules one more time and give it your all!

Well, you only need to know the ip address of your gateway (router), so you can access its setup. I don't know exactly which model you have, but you should be able to find the address for it on the Internet.

Alright, under service name, type in XboxLive or something, so you can recognize where it's for. Under server IP address, type in your Xbox's IP address (your Xbox needs to have a static (manual) ip address. If it doesn't, follow this guide to set it up).

 

I assume that if you click "add", you'll be able to fill in the ports you want to forward. They are:

 

53 (UDP&TCP)

80 (UDP&TCP)

88 (UDP&TCP)

3074 (UDP&TCP)

 

For 53, for example, fill in "53" as both the start port and end port.

After you're done, make sure it's set to active.

Hm, I've done all that (making Xbox Live IP static and then forwarding ports) but my Xbox still says my NAT is Strict. Is there something I need to put in the Default Server box?
