John The Grudge
forza3 hype has died down a lot Well there's not really much else to discuss until the game's release. Actually there's a couple of things I'd like to know. The second disc install is almost 2GB, could I install that onto the free USB flash drive that comes with the Ltd Edition of the game instead of the HDD? Secondly, who here has posted a playlist on the Zune blog on the Forza website for the free Zune Auidi? Note: Just been promoted to 'Street Cat.' AZAZEL
The second disc install is almost 2GB, could I install that onto the free USB flash drive that comes with the Ltd Edition of the game instead of the HDD? I very much doubt that. I don't think the 360 is able to read game data from a USB stick. Also, I found this list of vehicles and tracks, complete with pictures and all: Clicky. It's quite funny how they list "over 100 tracks" as a key feature, when, in reality, there's some 20-22 tracks, with 2-3 layouts, and each layout has a reversed version, too. That hardly counts as seperate tracks. There's a sh*tload of ovals and drag stripes, which count towards the 100, too. GTA3Freak-2001
That is a bit of a downer considering that was part of the reason Forza 2 felt a bit baron but there are some new great tracks like the demo track, that Initial D mountain type drift road which I can't remember the name!, and a few others. Anyway I won't be finding out as my 360 just RROD'd! Yeah a week before Forza 3 and this happens, what's worse is my console was bought in September 06 meaning I am a month out of the extended three year warranty for the rrod!!!! I am not happy as you can imagine!

Though I'm off on business from next Thursday - Monday so I wont be able to play it till the Tuesday after . Waste of time pre-ordering it really. Oh and apparently the game has been leaked on torrent sites already. Pacrel Focre
AZAZEL
I've been rather addicted to just cruising around with the automatic gear in FM2, but somehow driving a manual in FM3 feels much more natural, so I'll definitely have to play on Hard or the like. I can't be bothered with the clutch.

GTA3Freak-2001
I did try the clutch on the controller and its a pretty cool challenge and it does give you a bit more satisfaction but I can't say I'd use it in an actual race or for most of my game play. Kaj.
So on Tuesday when I was at the bank in the mall depositing a student loan check into my account, my girlfriend wanders off to EB Games and pays off the ~$80 left on my Forza 3 Collectors Edition. Safe to say, I was a happy camper for the rest of the day.

I think he was wondering where he can get a girl who buys sh*t for him and since women are objects (im bringing 1950's back, bare with me) he wondered what shop you can buy them from. Anyways, My birthday is not to far away now and i have asked for Forza 3, is it worth me getting the VIP pack or just sticking with the original?, thanks in advance for any helpfull info
AZAZEL
Anyways, My birthday is not to far away now and i have asked for Forza 3, is it worth me getting the VIP pack or just sticking with the original?, thanks in advance for any helpfull info This is what you get in the LCE version: The Forza Motorsport 3 Limited Edition (LE) gives aspiring drivers, tuners and painters instant VIP Membership status within the Forza community including special recognition in the new Storefront feature as well as the online Auction House, scoreboards, ForzaMotorsport.net and more. As a VIP member, consumers gain exclusive access to five of the world’s hottest cars: * 2009 Aston Martin DBS * 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 * 2007 Ferrari 430 Scuderia * 2007 Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera * 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 RS (997) And if you crave cars, you won’t want to miss another perk of the “Forza Motorsport 3” LE – an Exclusive Collector’s Car Pack, personally hand-picked, tuned and painted by the team at Turn 10: * Audi R8 5.2 FSI Quattro (Forza Motorsport 3 Cover Car) * Acura NSX (Forza Motorsport Cover Car) * Nissan Fairlady (Forza Motorsport 2 Cover Car) * Aston Martin DB9 (Forza Motorsport 2 European Cover Car) * 2008 Dodge Charger Stock Car (with Xbox 360 livery) In addition to the exclusive cars, Turn 10 also plans to create a series of new and exclusive designs and tuning kits exclusively for VIPs. And to show off your true “Forza Motorsport” pride and prowess, consumers also receive a Forza Motorsport 3 collector’s keychain and a 2GB USB thumbdrive in which you can store your favorite “Forza” videos, photos and designs to easily share them with friends." It's your call whether you deem it worth the extra cost or not. I found the price to be quite fair, so I pre-ordered it a while ago. Also, I think this was posted earlier in this thread, but it's worth a repost: F*cking awesome video. I'm really looking forward to having my way with that track, although it might be more fun once I learn how to drift properly.
chris
Ah cool, i'll check out the prices and see if its worth getting for the cars, i just checked out the car list and my god its excellent, im really looking forwards to playing this. That drifting compilation was great aswell, i hope to try that out with a few friends online when i buy this game.

VCRules86
I just read a review and I saw something that really worried me about this game: The reviewer stated that he didn't enter a parts store once during his entire playthrough because all of the upgrades and modifications were automatically done for him. If this is true, I'm gonna be really f'ing pissed

If this is true, I'm gonna be really f'ing pissed You got it the wrong way around. The game offers you an auto-upgrade before each race, if your car needs to have modifications made in order to be able to participate. This is optional, just like the rewind feature that's also gotten a lot of heat. If you don't want to use these features - don't.

Fozzy Fozborne
I preordered my limited edition today, first game I've actually been excited about since GOW2 which was sometime last year I think. Does it seriously P*SS anyone else off that we have to jump through hoops to get cars? It isn't even like we have to pay for the cars extra but we have to buy the game at a certain location (Gamestop), have to buy it new, and have to have a gold subscription to get the bonus giveaway cars. I mean, it's already 80 bucks for LE, why not just ship ALL the cars with it? And for what exactly I mean by the other cars, here's a list of what you have to do in order to get 3 cars: Official Contest Rules and Submission Instructions * You must be an Xbox LIVE gold member to participate. * Download the Forza Motorsport 3 demo and finish one race (vs. the AI) with the gamertag you want to register by 12:00am PST on Monday October 26th 2009. * Pre-order Forza Motorsport 3 before Monday October 26th 2009 and be sure to have a receipt which shows the date of your pre-order. * Write your gamertag legibly in print letters onto the receipt and take a clear photo of said receipt with all printed information visible. * Email the photo to [email protected] with the subject header “Forza Motorsport 3 Pre-order Car Giveaway”. Include the photo as an attachment to the email, and also include your gamertag in the body of the email. Your e-mail must be received no later than 12:00am PST on Monday October 26th 2009. * Do not change your gamertag before you have received your in-game cars from within the game. * Purchase Forza Motorsport 3. * You will receive the gift cars on or around 11/4/09 once you have booted up Forza Motorsport 3 while logged into Xbox LIVE. Press the Left trigger to access your inbox and download the cars! I mean, really? Oh and one more thing, Papan posted a link where you can buy the game that includes the E92 M3, is it included with the LE US release? I mean, it's already 80 bucks for LE, why not just ship ALL the cars with it? Fozzy, you're already getting those cars in the game. The cars that people are "jumping through hoops" for are standard in-game cars with fancy paintjobs. And it wouldn't be fun if they just gave everyone all the unique cars. Doesn't really make them unique then, does it? You'll be playing with your buddies, pull out one of the pre-order cars, they'll be all like, "That's awesome, I want one". And you'll be all, "You don't have one? They were just giving them away. Only had to take a photo and email it*." *I didn't include the demo part because anyone who's pre-ordered the game has already played the demo. A lot. EDIT: Actually, here's a link to the giveaway page. That way you guys can get in on it if you don't frequent the FM3 site. Pre-order Car Giveaway And these are the cars you can get. Go to the page above. Pictures are in .aspx format so I can't hotlink them. Edited October 20, 2009 by -Kajun-
GTA3Freak-2001
Since my 360 seems to be working again I finally pre-ordered the limited editon and since I ordered online I hope I will get it possibly early. I say this as a few people have recieved thier copies so the street date might be broken opening the floodgates. I doubt MS will ban early players but I'd be saying off live anyway just in case..
