chris Posted October 26, 2009 Share Posted October 26, 2009 I managed to convince my mother that i should be allowed to play on Forza for a day or two before i recieve it as a birthday gift next month, at first she wouldnt budge so i had to improvise by putting her on my shoulders and carrying her around the house for 5 minutes untill she gave in, its good being somewhat strong Anyways i think this game is bloody awesome, i started off with the Ford Fiesta Zetec S, got given an Abarth Fiat 500 for completing a few races and then decided to buy an E36 BMW M3 to play around with. Most of my time was spent customising my cars so i never really had the opportunity to get many photos. I did get one though, BMW M5 vs Audi RS4 doing a lap of the Nurburgring. Hope you guys like it. GTA3Freak-2001 Posted October 27, 2009 Share Posted October 27, 2009 I don't get why you have be a XBL Gold member just to upload photos, as fun as I remember Forza 1 and 2 being online I can't really justify the cost right now as I don't think I'd play it enough. Like many I get a real kick out of doing car designs and then getting a great shot in photomode and uploading it for others to see over actual racing. Game is great though overall, graphics are stunning but I do feel there are some issues like the inability to fully look around the dash area and the way you feel like you are humping the damn steering wheel. EA got it right with Shift's awesome interior view, it baffles me as the interiors are modeled pretty well yet you rarely get to see them. The game renders the side mirrors yet most cars you can't even see them, bit of a waste no? I know you can fix it by messing with the multi-screen settings but it skews the camera perspective. I also not a fan of the loading sequence which revs the engine and then gives you control just as the race states making it often hard to get a good start. Still a great game that I'll be spending quite a while playing. I can't wait to get this tomorrow. From what I remember you had the Toyota Yaris S, Ford Fiesta Zetec S, Chevy Aveo5 LT, Nissan Versa SL, Honda Fit, Scion xD and err some Citroen. Im planning on fully upgrading my M3 so that i can make people sh*t themselves when they race against it online. Ignore my sh*tty paintjob it will take a while before i get good at it. The LE was most definitely not worth the extra dollar or 30. I paid extra for a cool looking box! THAT'S IT! Because apparently I was supposed to be special and get a bunch of sh*t that the non-LE games weren't supposed to have, like cars painted by retards, a couple of cool cars that should've just been in the damn game to begin with, and that sh*tty test track from FM2. Tell me, what's the point of releasing a game and having DLC for it on the first f*cking day it's out, and making it free? Just put it in the game! The keychain looks cool, but it's probably never going to leave the box because I don't need more than one keychain, and the flash drive is just a painted 2gb flash drive. And it's only 2gb, which is nothing impressive as we go into the year 2010. I think anything with 2gb anything was cool like 4 years ago. So cool box is cool. Moving onto the game. Graphics: AWESOME. Driving: AWESOME. Something I really don't like is that the game basically rewards you for kicking ass at racing games. The better you are, the more CR you earn. My bonus is at like 80% cause I have ABS on and regular manual (I can't handle the clutch on the controller). If you're a nub, you don't get sh*t. Learn to play, asshole! And then it seems like the game is just GIVING me credits. Finish a race, you earned these credits, got some of these credits, and you get more credits for participating in the venue. I have no understanding of where all these credits are coming from, but it's cool though. Something else I don't understand is the quick upgrade. It works as good as a broken condom. I want to upgrade my car to C350 (or whatever), why does it take it to C224? It does that and then I have to go find some more parts (like driveshaft or other stuffs) to get it up to C350. Any difference is a difference, and the computer fails at making my car better. Also, when I race, I start in 7th place. If I have the best car or worst car, I'm in 7th place. Let me qualify or something. What was awesome about FM2 was that if you had the best car (or highest PI), you started first. What was also cool is if you had the lowest PI, you started last, and if you finished first, you got an achievement for being a 'Hard Charger'. Menu navigation is difficult compared to FM2. It looks nice, but it's as efficient as a Hummer. And I don't understand the whole season play and then event list. Forza 2 had about 7 or 8 different kinds of BBS rims, including the CH which looks beautiful on pretty much anything that's German. Much to my undelight, the CH is not in FM3. For those that have been living in a cave for the past 30 years, BBS makes the coolest f*cking rims ever that can be put on any car at all. That's why GT2 had like 30 different kinds of them because they're f*cking PIMP. But that's GT2 and this is FM3, so I'm not going to start a whole fanboy discussion argument sh*t topic thing. And then I look to see what OZ rims there are, and there's like TWO. AND THEY BOTH SUCK. So now there's less cool rims, but now there are DUB rims and Asanti rims to put on the Charger, 300C, and Land Rover. That's cool. Not. More on rims, you can't change the size of the stock rim! The f*ck is that?! I want 22" stock rims on the Conti GT like my T4NK in FM2 has. Terrible. Lastly, the achievements suck. And don't feel like achievements at all. By the way, watching a Touareg try to overtake a Scirocco and Golf GTi is funny as f*ck. It's brilliant! Now, I'm going back to play some more, because aside from those minor points, this game is pretty badass. xx edit: is it just me, or is the game a bit buggy? Like, sometimes the sound of the engine will stick even though you're still accelerating, or the little penalty will light up even though you're driving fine on the track. Hmph. And where's the GT-R? The Koenigsegg CCX, Ariel Atom, and track day cars are missing as well such as Radicals and the Ariel Atom. I for one would like to show you guys my 1983 Porsche 911 with 500+bhp and a top speed off 199mph As per usual, more car pics! Settle for what the game is, and what it offers. They'll release quite a lot of car packs, I'm sure. But I guess you'd just go "omfg wai du i hav 2 pay 4 dem wen dey could hav ben added in the FIRS PLAC!!!!!!1". Your loss, I guess. Speaking of car packs, I've noticed that a lot of your AI opponents drive cars that you can't aquire in the game yet. I'm guessing these will be available for downloading at a later time? I'm speaking of cars like the Honda Fit + and the Subaru S204. I'd love to get my hands on that 204. You can also select these cars when searching on the Auction House. GTA3Freak-2001 Posted October 28, 2009 Share Posted October 28, 2009 Speaking of AI I like some aspects like the way AI cars can stuff up with and without pressure from you but I hate the way the AI brakes way too early even on medium causing me to rear-end them. Its fine when you are one or two on one but trying to get through a field of vehicles seems to turn into carnage. It's somewhat difficult to do but worth it, I went into the Vinyl Group creator or whatever it's called and I just used the primitives given in order to make the image. The Majesty logo I originally created was created quite simply, I just used a ring and changed the size and then to make up the rest of the design I used triangles and squares. The spheres in the Octavarium logo were suprisingly hard as the album cover had the light coming in from a bizarre angle so I had to experiment with circles and the gradient circles to finally produce an effect I was somewhat happy with. I created the first sphere then replicated it 4 times in the positions I wanted, made the handle and the rope. Then I imported my previous Majesty logo set it to black and put it on the fourth sphere, then imported it again set it to another colour to get the indent effect. The best thing you can really do in the creator is just experiment with the vinyl/decal creater. Remember everything can be made using primitives. Start of with basic logos, I've done the Rockstar and Rockstar North logo for example and put them up on the storefront for 1000CR a piece (*cough...* cheap plug) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
