Kratos2000 62
You forgot to post your system specifications, as I specified in my previous post. there is no chance in the world that GTA Vice City won't work. i'm playing GTA IV with no problems, so Vice City? anyway: Geforce 9600GT 512 MB (soon Geforce 9800GT 1024MB) 4 GB RAM E8400 but i'm playing! until i'm going to a mission. or loading a save game file. Girish 3,773
Try updating your video drivers and delete the gta_vc.set file from the User Files folder. If you're on Vista, try running the game in Windows 98 compatibility mode.
Kratos2000 62
Try updating your video drivers and delete the gta_vc.set file from the User Files folder. If you're on Vista, try running the game in Windows 98 compatibility mode. they are already updated, by the way: it's not the problem with my computer, i may start the game ,see the cutscenes with sonny forelli in the start, but going to a mission (to the ocean view hotel for example it's the first mission) it's freezing after the cutscenes of the mission. i will try to delete the file edit: it's works! but how can i change the graphicks without of that file to return? Sniputer 5
.set file is the setting file, it "makes itself" if deleted. So it is just bad luck if it doesnt work after the settingchanges...

Girish 3,773
edit: it's works! but how can i change the graphicks without of that file to return? I don't really understand what you mean, but the .set file is supposed to be regenerated when you start the game after deleting it. That's because it stores your in-game settings and everything. Can you not change your graphics settings?

Girish 3,773
The game cannot run without that file, so you need it. Is there a specific setting at which the game crashes? Have you tried running the game in Windows 98 compatibility mode as I suggested before?
Kratos2000 62
not. i may play as much as i want, but when i'm going to the first's mission marker ,i see the cutscenes, and the game freeze at a black screen.
Girish 3,773
So, have you tried running the game in Windows 98 compatibility or not? Try it and let us know if it helps. Also, are you sure you have purchased a legit copy of the game?
