*MURDOC*
That I'm not totally sure of, for all I know it could be anything from general cleaning to bussing tables, taking orders, it really could be anything, so be prepared, and remember, the better you do, the more youll have access to. Always room for a promotion.
beanmachine43
People usually tell me to wait a week after the interview, but I usually go in and ask to see the manager a couple days after. Usually they will say he/she is busy, but it's always good to make an impression even if you feel like a dunce going in there all the time. SmellyJelly
Are you the same guy that posted the topics about finding a job a few weeks ago...? How are we supposed to know what they'll make a 16 year old do? Why don't you ask people who work there? Anything we could tell you would probably be very easily found by a quick Google search. If they call you, great. If not, then forget about them and try somewhere else. Start looking at other places now so you're prepared in case they don't. *MURDOC*
Yeah, it cant hurt to apply for a few places, if you have to turn them down, dont feel bad, they have plenty of people to choose from, and it almost guarantees you a job.
The Unvirginiser
Three or four days at most I reckon. Working in those joints is harder than you think, make sure you're up for the job mate. Good for you anyway!
Pierre grove
I appreciate all of encouragement(Now i know who my real friends's are)But I gave my application to one of the worker's and she said she will give it to the manager and she will review it. darthYENIK
I've been called back anywhere from a day to two weeks after submitting a job application. It really just depends on when they want to call you in for an interview, and how desperate they are for new employees.
Slamman
You finally got a job, huh? Congrats, I guess. For me, No one is hiring. I only got a job call the damn day after my car got towed... and the frickin machine cut the guy off... How's that for Sh*t luck... ? I'm PISSED cause now they cut off my power, I'm too broke to pay for. It's not all FUN and GAMES. Yeah, Good luck on the Job, WE ALL NEED IT!! Anyway, I was told, don't assume and wait too long, keep job searching, you have to, there's such a bad job market out there, I started by thinking I had some good history, I could apply to the company across the street, they're big enough, but nothing happened there. You can re-apply all you want however! Keep hasslin' 'em
Chargr
I've been looking for a job, but no luck. I'm going tomorrow to check the status of my application. The guy said to call him in a couple of weeks, but I'm going in person. It's been a week and a half already, so hopefully I get interviewed and start working ASAP. Its tough during interviews, I went to one Starbucks place in Downtown L.A not knowing I was going to compete with successful people. So I knew I wasn't going to get hired then. Slamman
My sister actually does aid for Dislocated Workers, and I can't get any foot in the door from her either. She's giving me advise like cut my hair, wear a suit. A suit and Tie Guy?!?? Not me, but I did cut my hair some. I am looking for hands on Gen Labor kinda things I know how to do, I don't sit at a desk and push pencils... But from TV, sure looks easy.. The past week, the Office with Steve Carrell, it was someone's wasted company time that was about to land the crew in the hot seat, frivolous party planning meetings, etc. Man, they get away with so much non work related shenanigans there, eh??? Otter
Well, it's not often you'll see "must look like a slimy creep in bad clothing" as a job requirement. You don't need a suit, but you could at least tie back your hair and throw on a dress shirt for an interview, right? Or is that 'selling out to the man'? The Unvirginiser
Sorry, didn't read this properly. I thought you'd had an interview. It all depends on whether they like your application form and how much they need employees. I wouldn't get your hopes up just yet though; it can take a while - if they call you at all. Don't be afraid to do some more application forms in the meantime. For the interview, I'd go with a smart shirt and your best pair of jeans -maybe pants - don't bother with a suit. Vanzant
Just so you know Most companies hold applications for 3-6 Months. I would rely on Three. So after Three, if you are still interested ask if they still have you file. It also always helps to ask to speak with a hiring manager at anyplace a week after you submit an application. Always give it a week, If not Two, but NEVER before a weeks time.

You can re-apply all you want however! Keep hasslin' 'em Shower --> Shave --> Ponytail & somewhat clean clothes --> Apply at McD without mentioning Earl Root, UFO, your ppd on an online forum and that you steal Wi-Fi to look at porn outside. Repeat until hired. I'm only in High School, so I can't say I know much about the job market, hell, I've only worked in a store for a month or so, but that seems fairly reasonable. You obviously need the cash. Don't give a sh*t about the obese kids who laugh at ya, or the smirking father of two, and just spit in their burgers. That might cost you your job, but at least you'll feel awesome. And if they cut your power, how can you be on the Internet? I'm guessing laptop, but I dunno. tuareg
Who knows what will happen, i applied for jobs at mcdonalds, burger king and even subway, but none of them bastards called me even to say "f*ck off". Then i had some luck and through some agency managed to sort out applying and even the interview in a matter of days, wherelse i was waiting months for others to call me. So to put it shorter, don't have high hopes, but don't give up either.
makeshyft
There are certain benefits that come with taking care of your appearance. Now, I'm not saying 'we' should ('all') cut 'our' hair short and bow down to the standards of society. Hell, my hair is somewhat longish (from a professional standpoint), but it's neat, and, hey... I have light and hot water. I can cook on my stovetop, and pay for my own wireless internet. Yep, clean-shaven and neat. It sure has its benefits. Mr.Mister
Call back after 3-6 days. It shows you're interested trust me, thats how I've gotten all of my jobs. You need to call back and ask if they have looked over your application/resume. They won't even bother with kids who just drop off a resume and never come back. Chargr
More and more places are going for Online Job Applications. Mostly all places I went too today and before, said check online. I don't think its a good idea submitting an online application, it just inst the same as going in person, but oh well.
