WDR to DFF  ??? ?  biggrin.gif

What would be the point of that?

just for lame people who dont know how to use KAMS IO or Deniska DFF scripts, really there is no point for doing that...

Dont imitate, recreate or copy just get your own ideas. Simplicity makes difficulty easy

I have a question - is it somehow (maybe via WDR Analyze) possible to add normal and specular maps to the material?

I have a disappearing parts bug on multi-material objects too. (Clip on this SiG-552 uses different texture)

Note for people who have problem with converting DFF to WDR (getting a very small WDR file on output, ~500 bytes) - maybe you have a reflection section in your material. Just uncheck it to solve that problem.

I think I can say Prince Link is working on new shader support for the next version of DFF2WDR, so it will support normal and spec shader, and I guess all the other shaders (reflective, emmisive, etc)

Almost. It's from Kane and Lynch. Eidos just used same model.

 

And whats that weather mod?
It's not a mod, it's original IV weather. ID 9, "Extra sunny 2"

I've added an object to the GTA IV map, but it dissapears, when the camera don't look at the center of object. How can I fix it?

I am working on it wink.gif It seems the muzzle flash/magazine etc stuff is working. Only problem is they are not in the right place. I am still looking into this problem.

Shaders work, just need to fix one thing to get the normal shader fully working.

Testing the new shaders prince link added (still not released), the photo shows a specular shader (not very noticeable, but it is!) and a emissive shader, just for testing. I'm going to test the other shaders maybe, though prince-link needs to fix the Normal maps one (no tangent calculation or something like that he said)

Can't wait... I haven't touched GTAIV in a while (mainly because I've beaten the storyline and such). Though signs like this make me want to play it again... I'm so excited to see the first real/proper custom weapon models ingame biggrin.gif!

I wanna learn how to work with this program! I wanna make HQ cars for GTA IV but I just dont know how to do it and I cant figure it out for myself. could someone make a tutorial on HOW to work with dff2wdr and with zmodeler2 from Oleg? please, I really wanna help on modding GTA IV! +.+

This isn't the program you want if you wanna make cars. Cars aren't .wdr's.

It's possible to make new custom for GTA IV. icon14.gif

But there are still some problems, like the weapon holding bug, no muzzle flash and other things. whatsthat.gif

How to make a texture so it will show in game.

Apply the materials/textures to your model, and create a new texture in G-Texture, import all textures as .dds. That's all wink.gif
