Yes, the road looks too dark. The shots are nice but a little too dark in general, if you are going for a realistic look, that is.

What is the problem when the game crashes after the 1st text thing? Any ideas? Every file is in same folder as gtaiv.exe.

you're reading my mind, about 40 - 50 pages back there was a nice wave of settings set to achieve most realistic enb look possible

and now : almost every pic is oversaturated contrasty, with the typical gta pukeish yellow tint. i mean, gotta give dkt70 credit for his effect.txt tweaking, but that just taking the game from the realistic look to some cg game burnout paradise look, im sorry but thats how i see it

 

i mean its ok when you like it , but calling it realistic is a little bit off

@Wonderblunt what Dky70 is aiming for is a much better looking IV with real colours. The only thing that I dont like on his effects is the hue. but everything was ok it really depends on the timecyc the SKY and your settings.

I'm doing something different, something that just isn't the same, tired old "Fancy Shiny Car next to deep blue sky" effect, that I keep seeing, and seeing, and seeing. It's just getting boring. Why have all these nice effects that ENB, effect files, shaders, can do when you all post the f*cking same thing, time after time ?

 

I watched your video wonderblunt, and I didn't see anything different from other that posted their own videos.

HDR brings a "Different" level of "Realism" into photos, and color. It's not REAL, real, but then niether are ANY of your shots, NONE of them. Mine aren't, really, it's just this is what we have got to live with, the limitations of what we can currently do.

 

All I see on this forum is people f*cking moaning, and most of the moaners are the ones too stupid to do their own editing, so they wait while others work months on learning, then just take, take take. But also, MOAN, MOAN, MOAN.

 

I'm doing this for ME, not for YOU. ME. But because I though, I know, lets share what I've done so far, and let other play around with them. If you like them, fine, if you don't, fine by me. But stop F-U-C-K-I-N-G Moaning. Either put up your OWN edited files, or F U C K Off.

The "realistic" fad has come and gone;time for "gritty cinematic" fad!!

Also, this thread's purpose is NOT realism,its to share your own settings and discuss settings.If you want otherwise, create your own or tweak that of others' instead of bitching about others' hard work.

hey Wonderblunt we didn't get your conclusion results on how are the new beta drivers are for GTA IV? Sli support and all since it is now. The newest driver 197.13. please let me know if you did test it with GTA IV, i will tonight after taking the effect files first cuz i wanna see if there is any changes.

I like it more in the DKT70's way. Some people can say that it's "oversaturated" but I think that's the right way. The original game was like this, and I liked it, all I see is people talking about realism, but their screenshots are all white and blue! Where is the red and the yellow from the original game? For what I can see in DKT70's new screens, I'm gonna like the new version of his settings, because, as I said, it's not only white and blue now. Keep on, DKT70!

Edit: @noelgamo - your last screenshots are clearly too dark, but I love it anyway. If "L.A. Noire" comes out one day, I guess it will looks like that, with old cars, dark ambient

I think we all have to thank boris for enb because without that we would'nt have these amazing effects wether it being blue skys gray red orange skys AA no jaggies.

You are totally right, too. I love your settings, but for my own taste, it will be DKT70, because I'm already fan of HDR imaging.

Your settings are cool too, as the noelgamo's settings. Differents taste, nonetheless.

 

But it is cool to be able for everyone to set his own settings, thanks to Boris!

Because there isnt... the driver will react differently on all systems.

On my side I dint notice anything different.

You see, I think you are confusing "Realism", with "Realistic", something I've never claimed. Realistic is the acceptance of reality, something I don't think any of us will ever achieve. Realism can be seen in a Visual Arts sort of way, a style made to represent a familiar in real life, like a painting. And like all Paintings, everyone has a different style, and a different view, look, etc.. But to stand infront of them and shout "None of them represent Realism" is silly, and misguided point of view.

Send us a screenshot. It can be the original game's depth of field or maybe too much bloom in a dark area (it happens in my house at Broker) or maybe some line of the shaders deleted, the only way to know is with an screenshot.

Reasonable people can disagree over whether the original aim of enb or this thread was to aim for photo-realistic graphics, as opposed to something slightly more stylized or whatever. I can see how you would disagree with wonderblunt about that, because you put a lot of work into something that has a slightly different aim. And that's fine--have that disagreement.

But calling him "snide" and telling him to f u c k off seems like, shall we say, a bit of an overreaction. You reacted somewhat similarly to a post I made previously, and I thought maybe you were just having a bad day or something, but this looks like a trend. You should relax a little bit. If you get enjoyment out of this, that's great. I know a lot of people here appreciate your work, and that makes it even better. It shouldn't matter so much to you that wonderblunt is looking for a less stylized approach. Yes, he should have expressed himself a little differently--i.e. "I prefer a more photo-realistic approach" rather than "it seems that this project is getting off course," etc, but he still expressed himself in a civil way, and was not rude or snide about it. You have to accept some degree of (polite) criticism along with all the praise, when you post your work on a public forum.

Ill be in France next week for my work and I feel like renting a car to go meet u with my card inhand, I know what I have and know how to use it to it's full potential.
