Anyone getting Icenhancer 1.2 looking all blury with AA enabled?

See what I mean:

- pic -

In the config:

[ENGINE]

ForceDisplaySize=false

ForceAntialiasing=true

ForceDisplayRefreshRate=false

ForceAnisotropicFiltering=false

MaxAnisotropy=16

AntialiasingQuality=1

DisplayRefreshRateHz=60

DisplayWidth=1920

DisplayHeight=1080

ReflectionsForceHighPrecision=true

ReflectionsExtremePrecision=true

AntialiasingUpScale=1

don't use ENB's AA with FXAA, that will cause your screen blur like that.

just ENB's AA or FXAA.

But I recommend, you have a monitor 1920x1080 so use FXAA smile.gif FXAA look good on 1920x1080 resolution.

Ah ok that makes sense.

How can I make icenhancer 1.2 use enb AA insted of FXAA?

Use this ForceAntialiasing=true to enable ENB's AA.

I don't use icenhancer's setting but as you said I can guess that he already add FXAA to his effect.txd, right ?

Just get another effect.txd file and put it in your GTA4 folder, for example you can use desparant3's ones, it's nice smile.gif

Just delete the option.txt file. You will notice the image is then sharper when using aa.

As per usual also use the definition key ingame to reduce some of the blur and make things alittle shaper aswell.

Thanks to ice and master for the info... wink.gif

I've encountered some problems using IceEnhancer (due to ENB 0.082) -> Blackscreens

What's the best setting available for ENB version 0.079?

Waiting for your advice, guys moto_whistle.gif

IV don't support ref of trees, lamposts, or peds. And ENB just increase the ref of stock game, that's it.

Trust me if there is something i know about this forum

is that somebody will (for sure) find a way to make the reflection of trees lamposts and peds work

no one believed that lens of flare and/or light shafts will be working in this game

so i'll just wait for somebody maybe ill do it!

gpu temps are stabil at 50°C to 55°C and cpu temp is just at 24°C-30°C near roomtemperature

@H1Vltg3: I´ll try.

Now R* act like they saw ENB for the first time. Jeez. Though, maybe theyll release patch8, compatible with ENB. After all, enb STILL makes people actually buy OLD gta 4, without EFLC.

to slap that up on their site means they will benefit from ppl rushin to buy GTA IV in order to get even an ounce of that quality.

I installed iCEnhancer into my vanilla 1.0.4.0 GTA4 installation and it looks pretty damn fine. However I have experienced a significant decrease in FPS. It used to run pretty smooth but now its at around 20fps. Is there anything which can be tweaked in the config to increase the FPS? I'm willing to sacrifice some graphical quality.

My rig:

i5-2500k

HD5850

4gb DDR3

Try turning off SSAO in iceconfig.ini or disabling extreme reflections

[ENGINE]ReflectionsForceHighPrecision=falseReflectionsExtremePrecision=false[EFFECT] EnableAmbientOcclusion=false

Yes maybe, or maybe in next GTA game R* will support.

But I wonder what kind of system spec will handle it.

Things to try in the ini

BloomQuality=0

to

BloomQuality=2 (reduces bloom quality)

[sHADOWS]FilterQuality=0

to

FilterQuality=2

Also, for extreme reflections the setting:

SideFade=1.0

is sometimes cranked to 2 or 3 which you can lower to 1 or lower ie: 0.8 or 0.4 or anywhere between 1.0 and 0.0 - reflections are taxing on some video cards / systems.

Basically any of the filter quality settings you can try to increase FPS if you're adventurous. 2 is lowest quality while 0 is the highest. You have to check it to see if the differences are good enough for you. Lower your view distance ALOT too in the Graphic Options. You'll find with ICEnHANCER it doesn't make much of a difference anyway (high VD) or at least it didn't in my installation.
