thx boris and dkt70 for youre work. nice settings! looks great!

Nice shots, did you just run using my settings ? or did you tweak anything ? Just worth mentioning, as most people would also probably want to know.

I don't recognise those cars, are they new ? I'm not really upto date on the car mods, so just wondering.

this is mine, and I can't put my finger on it. it just doesn't look realistic.

The shaders gets you that look, if you didn't delete your shaders folder and replace the whole folder with the one in my archive, then chances are it won't work right. Obviously backup the whole folder, first.

Well I'll test it and compare it withthe 1 I already have and if it's the same I'll send it back and get the GT240 the only thing i don't like about it is that it only has 512 mb memory and I want something with 1Gb.

Don't worry about the 512Mb, you have plenty of memory bandwidth with the PC of yours, so you could make use of the "-availablevidmem". But don't go mad with the value, just work out exactly what memory you need and put the figure in there. I have 896Mb, and need around 945Mb to get the look and detail I want, so I just use "-availablevidmem 1.1" giving me around 980Mb total.

okay a little update. a few pics below. I got night time evening and daytime sorted out on v2 heres some shots. i found if you blend sharpness filter with contrast and exposure and also gamma, those all combined give you a very nice look.

and as always feedback is greatly apppreciated. smile.gif

If you want more or less light from building windows, try this line in the enb ini

[bUILDING]

WindowLightIntensity=1.7

Ok, I modified some values such as windowlight, chrome, metallic amount... no AA this time, and as always, it's brighter and more vivid in-game than on these pictures. Thx for the help!

Sorry if I seem like a pest, but I tried what you suggested, and it doesn't really look different. it still looks... bleh.

Yep, they're also looking good. The trick with the sharpen filter is to balance the offset with the strength and your resolution. If you game under 1440 res, then I wouldn't personally use it because the filter has less info to work with.

Owen, You might want to try different palettes for different light and ambience. I use a website called http://www.colorhunter.com/ and from there I generate palettes from various screenshots taken from Flickr or Google.

They're jpeg only for upload, I use png for the actual images. The trick is to get many palettes from many photos, and see what you can achieve from using them in EditIV. Picking a color for Direct Light, one or two for Amibient Light, and one for distant fog. I use a combination of many, to achieve my look. Sometimes it doesn't work, and I get a bizarre combination.

The values in the boxes at the bottom are the values you enter into EditIV.

Wow, are those real or snaps taken from the game??

If it's from the game it looks very realistic.

That's how I want my game to look after I get the new vid card... I can't wait!!

Does anyone know why I only get an FPS increase from lowering the resolution? Lowering other options doesn't really do much.

I wish. You won't see anything like that until the PC rendering architecture has a complete change from 32-bit to 64-bit.

They're just palette guides.

Keep the good work ! biggrin.gif

And I must agree with the fellow AngryAmoeba about the sky at night.
