Crysis on DX9 looks worse than this. Okay, Crysis (@ 100%) has object motion blur, better water (you can dive, duh, in GTA you can't) and the 'normal' physics/destroyable buildings are great. Oh, and it also has SSAO. But ENB series also has that, plus some nice effects too, and GTA IV already looks awesome, even at medium/high settings.

wtf?

have you played crysis sometime man? i think no

Crysis engine and graphics crush GTA IV man, the new crysis will use DX11!! the actual one is working with DX 10.1 not DX9

lol

but anyway all is about what graphic card you have

the graphics of a card of 1GB of 2 months ago are not the same of one of 2GB of 1 week ago

there are alot of details that make the diference

I play Crysis Warhead at Enthousiast at 23FPS or more, never got less.

GTA IV at medium looks quite awesome, and with ENB series, it will look better than Crysis.

Euh ... FAIL

Crysis works with DirectX 9, if it wouldn't work, then the game won't run on a Windows XP >.<

Do you know at least something about games?

Maybe he meant Crysis uses DX10 and not just DX9, while GTA4 only uses DX9.

The difference between DirectX9 and DirectX 10 in Crysis are these:

Dx10

AA: YES

Worse framerate: YES

Dx9:

AA: NO

Worse framerate: NO

u fail'd.

The difference between DirectX9 and DirectX 10 in Crysis are these:

Dx10:

Objectmotionblur: YES

Dynamic Smokeeffects: YES

(all the other features DO WORK in Dx9 too)

Dx9:

Objectmotionblur: NO

Dynamic Smokeeffects: NO

Those functions are also availible in Dx9. Play Warhead, Dx9 Enthousiast no AA is exactely Dx10 enthousiast. I even noticed some object motion blur (playing around with boxes) and dynamic smoke effects (in the first minutes).

Hey guys,

I wanted to ask if someone want to make GTA IV beta-alike settings (car reflections for cars etc). I need it for my GTA IV Beta Mod.

Some Screens:

1,2,3,4

Big Thanks in Advance, and btw i will give credits to the one who make it perfect. icon14.gif

I really love the way it looks right now and all I can say is good luck and keep up the good work icon14.gif

I was thinking of something that GTAIV is missing, and that is a realistic sky, cause imo GTAIV's sky isn't that realistic. I don't know if it's even possible but it would be so much better if the sky could look more like this:

Mafia 2 sky

Anyway, as I said before, keep up the good work Boris icon14.gif

Reflection strenght on 40.

@ Sky: That should be edited in timecyc and in textures i'm afraid. But Boris wants to make volumetric clouds and such, so just wait. Maybe the clouds will be even better than in real life. (Wait, lol)

Quick question: Is it possible to use the AA ENB at 1920x1080 fullscreen?

Almost. you can have 1920*1080 windowed with AA, BUT, if your GPU isn't fast, it might fail.

You have to fiddle that out yourself. The config i like best may differ with your favorite config.

And you can only edit the reflections in the availible version for IV.

Boris,

Any release date estimate for your other modifications for GTA IV, you know:

indirect lighting and sky lighting, bloom, refractions, night street lights, ambient occlusions, etc?

That's what I (and many others Im sure) have been waiting for since you first started posting pics and updates over a month ago on your website.

So, have you got a release date in mind, or estimated release date?

(Even if the work is incomplete, I would love to get my hands on a beta version of what you have thus far)
