Hi guys, i've downloaded dpeasant's end settings...

It looks great at day, and reflections are awesome!

 

BUT- got some problems, like: over bright night, bug sky(can't see sky at different angels, and there seems to be a big squarre in the sky?) and the threes look like sh*t!

 

- I don't use any trainers, but i've had a few graphic mods installed before.

- - OH, and i'm playing EFLC, could that be the problem?

Second - You are Using Patch 1.1.1.0. You need to use Patch 1.1.2.0 (1.1.0.2)

I've looked through the EFLC thread, and it doesn't look anywhere near as awesome as gta 1.0.4 does.

- SO! I've come to the conclusion that i just install gta IV and get awesome graphics!

If I install ENB from chrris7, I get a glitch ingame which I really hate because this is the first ENB mod which doesn't let the game stutter every 5 seconds -.-

 

Anyone knows a solution?

you are using ati. use newer version of d3d9 http://www.mediafire.com/?16cq3x000ia3zbc it should solve the problem. about the game stutters every 5 seconds, just turn off CyclicConfigReading in enbseries.ini change CyclicConfigReading=true to CyclicConfigReading=false

Hey, I also got an Ati graphic card (6950). Everytime I turn the mouse around fast frames per second drop drastically.

 

I use Dpeasant3 settings (love it by the way, thnx for everything). So should I also replace my d3d9 and change CyclicConfigReading to false?

dpeasant is already using the latest enb version. the d3d9 is the same. i've no idea about why the fps drop drastically

Did u use proper shaders? Are u using patch 1.0.4.0? I have ATI card too, but it run nicely and smoothly about 17-22 fps no AA, with AA no playable 10 fps

for me it's not that bad as u can see what card i have but it's everything on max, as play on medium it's more fps about 35

Then it's probably because my graphic card isn't good enough and that a geforce card performs better with the gta iv engine. But thnx for helping.

Off: My Gta Iv stops after a little bit of playing : It exits and says : Gta Iv has stop working , does anybody know how to fix this?

When this happens AFTER playing a while it´s probably not ENB related.

The only hard crashes I had when using enb was because of wrong adjustment of resolution but this was D3D error, so display didn´t support what I choose.

This happens only after starting the game. Never ever had a crash due to ENB. Since I use it it feels like if GTA runs much more stable.

 

You have to track your modding steps back until it works, then you´ve located the potential error. Nobody knows what you´re doing on your rig so nothing else to say.

I hope you´re a backupper or you need to reinstall.

 

 

Maybe it´s because you´ve installed a modded car. If you install a new car and the car which gets replaced is parked in this "save my car areas" the game may crash after a while.

Only change cars that are not parked there. The game may trouble because the savefile crash after a while when another modded car spawns when you also drive it straight from the save point.

Had a lot crashes due to this.

I don't have any car parked , and I started another game and it crashes again .

So It Isn't the savegame.

What could It be?

I can´t give you advice coz I don´t know what is installed on your system beside the ENB mod. I suppose that ENB itself don´t cause the trouble.

 

I would expect that a clear install would run so there must be something you´ve changed in the past.

 

You have to track your modding steps back until you located the error. Maybe a script, maybe something else... maybe a wrong driver... the possibilities are like my dick: Endless!

 

You know: There are alot of "maybe´s" if you´re experimenting with GTA4. I have nothing more to say about that.

@Damian: What roads are you using? With the settings you have on your signature I don't get a dark road like yours in daylight. Mine looks very white.

I agree. I think if you're not going to share settings you don't have any business posting in the thread. It's just silly to show them off and not allow anyone to use them or learn from their contents. IMO it's worse than the VIP car teasing which, I don't really care about.

 

 

Also, when you spend a large portion of your time dedicated to ENB and graphics tweaking you can eventually take cheap shots from folks like City_Poke because you spend alot of time doing great things both in real life and in ENB.
