when i install this mod the game crashes

so in the menu i change the graphic settings all to low even the resolution

then the game looks really bad

soo i set the settings a bit higher and the GAME LAGS AS F***!!

 

so can anyone help me because like this mod a lot!

 

my specs are

version 1.0.7.0 of gta 4 with simple trainer and some other .asi mods(because .NET mods wont work by me )

intel quad core 2,66 ghz

nvidia geforce gt 220 1gb <------- i know its not the best card i can get

Hey guys,

 

I have two questions. First, what would be the best enb config to use? Should I just download the latest ENB from the enb website and also dl RealismIV/ VisualIV, and that would be all?

 

Also, I installed GTA IV, updated to 1.0.4.0 and put on the latest ENB, but in the game everything was too damn bright and the gamma was too high (the colors were off), how do i fix that?

To use ENB correctly, download the pack of one of the ENB modders, paste the files into your game folder, and remember to replace Tinecyc.dat. That's the most important thing. You shouldn't use other graphic mods when using ENB Series, they tend to conflict. (Shader mods make ENB go haywire, and VisualIV affects the timecyc.dat file, that's essential for ENB to work good). Once you're finished with placing files, just fire up the game. You might adjust some anti-aliasing or resolution options, but leave other options alone unless you know very well what you're doing.

 

For the best config you should try them out yourself. I like Dpeasants configs, but I also like to mix/add something of my own. (Which usually goes horribly wrong)

These ENB mixes are ancient, If you want a good mod download a mod from any of these guys, Dpeasant3, Brayan090, Eiswolfi, even lpf's L3Evo from a while back (his original) is much much better. Stick with patches 1.0.3.0 or 1.0.4.0.

 

You can get both Brayan090's and lpf's on http://www.gta4-mods.com/ in the misc section. And Dpeasant3's is in his sig.

And get P1ch3's mod, it works well on EFLC and patch 7. Just don't expect a bug-free game because ENB has not been officially written for patch7/EFLC, so it only has minimal effects.

 

Dpeasant3, nice shots as always, you have done wonders with my old timecyc. The only thing that slightly bothers me, and it's nothing major, is a sort of pinkness to some of your lighting. Thats not a criticism, just a minor observation.

I will test your mod with it, but I'm doubtful this will work. It is not done via the timecyc.dat, it is done via the enbeffect.fx and the enbbloom.fx files, and with some settings in the ENB ini. The reason I don't think it will work is because it requires skylighting to be on, and adaptation to be working, both of which I don't think work in EFLC.

I will let you know.

No alterations were made, I simply placed all my files alongside P1ch3's files and ran the patch 7 version of GTAIV.

No skylighting lets it down a bit, the lack of contrast and black gives this away. I may be able to tweak the HDR to make up for the lack of contrast.

The sunhaze needs some tweaking, since the effect has increased somewhat just by using this mod.

All in all, I was impressed. P1ch3's mod looks good, and those clouds look better than mine

Awesome work as always dude, I'm one of the patch 7 rare species here and I use the contrast and gamma options in my Nvidia control panel, it really helps with the contrast and black input and the gamma options are very helpful and can change the look of the game color and balance drastically! I am pretty sure the sky lighting option is working for my patch 7 version! I will try it and let you know soon! here is a screenshot with nvidia contrast at 65%

but I've some question:

how to clear the sky from clouds.. ex [ in Extra Sunny weather i see some clouds it's looks like cloudy or sunny windy weather ]

i want the extra sunny looks clear from clouds.

and in the night.. the sky looks like when u are in [ SPACE ] all stars i can't see the sky :S [ i tried to turn UseCostumeStars to false and true ] but nothing change.

 

btw.. @DKT70 . The effect looks really awesome nice.. i like it, but the bad thing is it's bright little bit. btw nice

i see every 1 is all gaga for the Dk sun and sh*t..but my question is how do i turn off all weather effects...when i use the weather cheats theres 1 that makes the sky gray and the game seems to run a bit smoother with a few more fps...id like to make all my weather with no fog or anything in it hell i dont even care about clouds or sky color( long as its gray or blue) only thing i like out of enb is the building that look like real pics... playing in 3d all those extras like the sun and weather just dont mix well..

I think you could do that by editing timecyc.dat. What you would have to do is: find out which weather was the one with the nice FPS, find the section for that weather in timecyc.dat (each section has a heading like "RAIN" or "FOGGY"), then copy and paste the values for that weather into all the other weathers.

 

REMEMBER to make a copy of timecyc.dat before messing with it, in case you break something or you decide you want the other weathers again.

You're game will slow down even more with no fog. The fog masks the LOD generation in a distance, which is less stressful on your PC. Rain is killer on any system.

 

By the way, with some timecyc's I've noticed when you lock weather, you get crap performance.
