DreamOperator

Thanks for all the feedback. Better to know now that the single cards I'm looking at still won't max this game out (especially with a Q6600).

Now I want Owenwilson1's rig! (it was pretty obvious he meant ATI driver. lol)

Any idea why my night time looks like this under *ANY* config I use?

*snip*

Have you tried relaunching the game after that happened. As in:

Launch 1: Bright

Launch 2: Normal

It's the same no matter what. I've even used other enbseries.ini's but it doesn't change.

Edit - fixed, apparently I had applied the Ultimate Graphics Tweak a while ago without realizing it tounge2.gif

If you use any kind of modified shader like UGT or AGT you have to set ForceMinMaxValues= to "false," otherwise you get screens like yours. This also enables you to tweak the in-game Brightness, Contrast and Color settings to your liking, but gives you slightly soft looking cut scenes ...

You're runing our of VRAM. Try making a commandline with this:

-availablevidmem 2.0

Damn! Thx! Oh well, as you can see by the FPS, I won't enable AA many times. colgate.gif

Running some new shader code, sharpen + Hue + Saturation + Lightness.

Looking good, waiting for you to post an updated settings package.

looks kindah too bright DXT10? is it that because of your ini.?

No, it's just that I have no float variables for luminance or saturation, only hue, so I've guessed the luminance value.

My idea here, is something that may not work as intended, as I've not tested this on other weather patterns, and time scales, especially night.

This may not work as intended on other user's setups, especially those that use GTA's Post Processing effects like the DoF effect, on mine it's stripped out.

Another example is that my Taxis are too orange, and all the ini and timecyc tweaking just changes the orange, it doesn't actually shift the hue ever-so slightly in one direction.

For example.

Ever-so slight Hue change,

Because it's a global setting, everything is changed, including lighting (check the lighting in the window). Now, it's debatable whether the change is for the better or for the worse, that will be user's decision if they use it or not. I prefer it, well, so far on what I've tested.

I will clean up the code, as it's a mess, and put it up later today, as its too late to do now, I'm off to bed.

So, I ask again: what do you have to change in the ini to make trees look brighter? Also, I tried making the environment brighter/darker, but despite I change values such as DirectLightingIntensity or Contrast... nothing changes in game (cyclic read is on), it stays the same. Funny because if I change the whole ini to another version, it changes in-game. If I'm changing a single value, I don't see the effect... So what to do to make environment or shadows or trees look brighter?

Bone .. There is a heading in the .ini for trees

[TREE]

LeavesReflectionAmount=0.03

LeavesSpecularPower=0.2

LeavesAmbientAmount=0.3

LeavesColorMultiplier=1.3

LeavesColorPow=1.3

The bottom two lines relating to colour, will affect colour AND brightness, my values are shown above.

Bone .. To increase the darkness of shadows add more contrast .. The higher the number, the darker the shadow. Mine is 0.0 so it is inactive.

[sKYLIGHTING]

FilterQuality=1

AmbientSunMix=1.0

AmbientSkyMix=1.33

AmbientContrast=0.0

AmbientMinLevel=0.15

You could also change the values in DirectLightingCurve. It will increase/decrease the strenght of shadows.

[ENVIRONMENT]

DirectLightingIntensity=1.33

NightLightingIntensity=0.13

DirectLightingCurve=1.33

ReflectionAmountMultiplier=0.33

SpecularAmountMultiplier=3.33

SpecularPowerMultiplier=0.33

ColorPow=1.33

AmbientSunMultiplier=1.0

AmbientSkyMultiplier=1.0

AmbientSunSaturation=1.0

AmbientSkySaturation=1.0
