DKT70 try timecyc from visualIV 1.5.4

I have it, don't like it, especially the sky. Skies have gradients, in visual there seems to be emphasis on getting the right blue, but not the gradients.

 

Also, nightime, and everything is super shiny, even the grass.

I have a question for u buddy!!

 

I just noticed that in my trainer 5.1 in the time settings for afternoon, evening and night have changed.

 

Afternoon is now set to start at 18pm, evening is at 23 pm and Night at 05am.

 

So the question is ( does playing with timecyc.dat can change the times in trainer 5.1 or any other trainer??).

 

I still didn't get a chance to tryout the tool you suggested .... I got called back to work for an emergency.... My stupid client got that nasty fake antivirus (fake alerter). lolll

 

So I'll check it out when I'm back home in a few hours!!

 

Also I love your pics They look great.

I also Have the same look with wet streets , I find it looks to icy or embossed...

What can we do to reduce the effect???

Boris, please tweak your enb 0.77b for us ATI users, the anti-aliasing problem. With AA=2, I can only see part of the full screen, the upper left part. Enb enlarges the resolution 2 times but doesn't resize it back.

 

Do hope you can see this and help us ATI users, thank you in advance!

@xy20032004 try putting force nvidia card to false

or try this

cause I have Ati too and the big screen only goes when its on the intro but when its done loading its normal depends on your screen resolution you have set on the Ini.

I didnt resize these pics I put my resolution to 800x600 biggrin.gif my laptop would blew up with my full resulution on its like bloody 1366x768 times 2 biggrin.gif I dont have a powerful laptop. but im saving money to get a powerfull PC

 

@DXT10 how to remove the scanlines its kindah annoying.

Why does the .FX file cause my game to crash? With out the .FX file, my game doesnt crash...

DKT70: How did you go about fixing missing reflections during certain hours? For example there is this one hour in the morning and one in the evening during the drizzle weather where I get no reflections.

Can anyone tell me how to add the sharpen effect to this or any setting? I just simply wanna sharpen it a bit.

@bone, simply download dkt70's effect.txt and place it in gtaiv directory.

Go browse the last 10 pages and u will find it as well as a lot of personalised settings.

I'm not putting anything up yet, as I've not finished. Sunny, Extra Sunny, Extra Sunny 2, are finished. All the rain, drizzle, fog , & windy weathers I'm working on now, hence the rain pics above, since I'm working on drizzle.

As for everything else, enbseries.fx, visualsettings.dat, visualsettings.xls, are stock files, no modifications.

 

As for missing reflections, test the default timecyc.dat that comes with the game or the patch you're using, and if it fixes them then you have a broken timecyc. If not, then there maybe a bug somewhere, similar to the dark bug I posted earlier on.

 

noelgamo, never seen those lines, so can't comment. Try process of elimination, remove the effect file and see what happens, then try a default ENB ini, then other files like visualsettings.dat, or the timecyc.dat.

Do you use Xfire by any chance? If so you have to open your xfire_games.ini (found in C:\ProgramData\Xfire), find the entry for GTA4 and change your in-game renderer from D3D9 to D3D8.

I changed resolution value in that text file (enbseries) and my game is in windowed mode. It starts in same resolution, 1280x720

I had recently gained some frames by moving nVidia's 196.21 driver. I added ENB after that, which was quite a hit on my fps, but it looks great!

 

Q6600 (@3.6) + 8800GTS512mb here. Running the game with Visual 1.5.2, ENB .77b and a couple other little mods @ 1600x900. Trying to figure out how far I can go with this setup and also what card to be looking at next.

I upgraded to a 5870 and the performance increase really isn't what I thought it would be (in this game), you need an i5 at least to get above 30fps.

well im running gta on quad Q9400 oc'd to 3.2 / 4GB ram / GTX 260 in vista 64x

 

performance is fairly good, well the enb drops your framerate down a few frames , but its still ok in my case (30-35 , dunno exactly)

 

i dont know how can new city textures affect your performance, i personaly dont like em and dont use them, but i assume that they cant have a major contribution in decreasing your fps - theyre just textures after all.

 

imho the performance issue is not about the enb pretty much, it depends on your actual graphics settings, looking at your rig, you can run it fairly well when you tweak your graphic settings approprietely

Do any of you know if enb can be used to get rid of that STUPID red glow that guns have when dropped? I spend all this time modding my game to make it look as realistic as possible only to have shoot outs ruined by all those dropped guns glowing red like the lights on a Christmas tree ... Like I'm an idiot and I won't be able to find the gun unless it is glowing like crazy ...

 

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
